If people can't keep 19 quid in their account then they're in the wrong hobby. I've been in financial crisis myself and I definitely wasn't pre ordering anything of any kind at that time.

I have various accounts and keep a single account for my hobbies , just because the money isn't in the account doesn't mean people are in a financial crisis and even if they are that's not the point. Regardless of finances this has shipped early and people have lost their orders due to that.

I don't understand why orders are lost because of this, if the card can't be charged zavvi asks for an update with the card. You change/retry said information, the card gets recharged eventually and the order ships.

If someone contacts zavvi and then customer service says the order failed to bill so we have cancelled the order, that’s your fault for mucking with the system to deal with incompetent customer service reps.

My card was denied with Roger Rabbit, I retried my card and it shipped the next day, same thing has happened this time around.

It's not about that wayne. It's about taking payment (out of the blue... like..... literally out of NOWHERE) 2 weeks before release date. A few days... sure. No probs. But 2 weeks? Zavvi is just asking for payment problems.

I had my orders completely covered, but it's still not difficult for me to see the other side. It's just common sense. For those that keep saying "Who on earth wouldn't be happy with a super early release?"... you are not considering all angles. Even those who didn't have their account funded are probably also excited it shipped 2 weeks early. That's not the issue. The issue is that some folk had to scramble to gather the funds to cover their order, and being that it was end of the month, I bet many were counting on a June 30th or July 1st paycheck.

All that aside, I am really looking forward to this Aladdin steelbook. OP says it will be embossed.

Here's hoping for a WFRR level of quality for Aladdin.

It's humorous how these threads often stray from the direct topic of the specific steelbook. Not complaining or judging it just seems like sometimes I'm reading a script from a show on Bravo: The real High Def Ninja's of the Interwebs

FYI, Im not in a 'financial crisis' of any kind, I just use a different account for my preorders and could have been caught out if I didnt have money in that account to cover it (luckily I did)... And as others have said, weve had dozens of emails from Zavvi apologising for the Indiana Jones delay, so if they are going to release something early at least send out an email saying so...

Maybe using your logic they should scrap release dates altogether offer items up for preorder then surprise us with random deliveries?

All these rude posts and attitudes are the exact reason I never really talked or got too involved with this site. The fact is if this is going out early Zavvi are obliged to inform people that this is the case in adequate time for people to make other arrangements if necessary. The exact nature of those arrangements are personal and should never be discussed or speculated on in any way. Some people have missed out on Alladin now because Zavvi nobody else. Back on topic though if some people have missed out that means there will be some of these going back up again and I could definitely do with another 2 copies for family.

This is an awesome looking steel and one of my favorite Disney movies. Well done Zavvi on a fantastic release at an even more fantastic price. Really looking forward to the future with Zavvi and all of these lovely looking steels. First class.

Yes, I am also sorry to hear some people have had some problems with this pre-order, but it sounds like it will all work out well. Hopefully we can all not be so quick to judge people, I have not had enough on a credit card before because of a early release, it happens. We are all here just trying to build a collection that we like, and can afford, its not a competition, its for fun...

Well said! I'm in the same boat, I think when you preorder is because you should have that money aside for it! I do have that money at least one month before release.

Thank you for the support, guys, however I did see the "vulgar attacking comment" as a result of my subscription to this thread. As a woman, I don't appreciate words like that. People may not like the opinions of others but harmful names are not justified. I've certainly had my eyes open to this place lately and people who feel words like that are acceptable are accepted on this forum freely.

Bob, I wasn't assuming you were. FYI I stated that I myself had been. It was my opinion in regards to people who may be. I don't understand the offence caused but apologise to anyone who may have been.
