What are the odds this is a stickerbook? The art certainly makes it look like it is.

I think the chances are pretty low that it's a stickerbook. Germany is such a HUGE market for steelbooks that they've almost ALWAYS printed them.

There are a couple exceptions, of course. But with a run like this on some of the popular Disney titles, I would expect them to be printed, IMO.

Alice in Wonderland (2010)

It has that thingies (hats, cups, etc.) painted with white gloss ink on the front side, but that cannot be seen in photos.
Otherwise, the steelbook is rather ugly.

I think it's a pretty cool looking steelbook (the front anyways). It does have the tragic flaw the most (all?) German steelbooks have, a printed j-card on the back!

But the front is pretty:

The front is nice indeed, I still need this one although I'm hoping for another European version.

Love your Dali clock btw

I'm gonna figure out a way to scan this... or die trying

Here it is. The same spot gloss is on the back, and it's even on the spine, but the front is where it looks best. To capture it, I angled the steelbook one way, scanned, angled it the opposite way, scanned, and then worked those two together.

The rainbowish effect on the spot gloss areas is how my scanner processed the light reflecting off the gloss, and how far or near the scanner bed it was. The actual spots are white glossy.

After a little bit of photoshopping, some angles, and of course patience...

I just wanted to post this scan:

The front does look really nice with the glossy "watermark" images.
I had not seen this before, but dfoles scans makes me interested.

I am almost considering getting it and making a Frankenstein version with a different back if I can find something further down the line.
