on the one hand i cant wait to have all these good looking disney steels in hand, on the other, i spent an insane amount of money on movies in the last year ( roughly 8.000 euros i guess...), will have to change my apartment in march, and my bank account and pure reason tell me to step back a bit until things have been sorted out... i will still order this, but its totally the wrong time for this series in feb./march....

Have to say GT, I'm loving ur mock up for this:drool:, (I've only just seen it). The colours are perfect, now I've seen this I may well be disappointed by what zavvi reveal.. we shall see.. maybe they've seen yours and will go with that:thumbs:

Thanks! I wish I could find a version of the front artwork without the anniversary banner so I could make it even better.

Really looking forward to seeing what Zavvi does with this one. A great, classic Disney film that deserves the steelbook treatment! Thanks OP!

I did not expect this to come out so quickly, so I bought the amaray with slipcover when released. Who knew back then that Zavvi would out-play Play/hmv?

It cannot match the colors or embossing of the slipcover. But there are lots of nice characters to make a nice steelbook if glossy.

the difference is, lion king, snow white, beauty and the beast, sleeping beauty (possibly bambi) have recently gone back into the vault. so i highly doubt we'll see them.

Disney Vault for the UK is different than USA
Yes in theory Lion King would not be until 2017
Lion King went into UK Vault 2013
4-5 years stay in the vault would mean 2017/2018
But what goes into the vault and comes out of the vault with Disney UK can change
Big Anniversary Releases Disney have taken titles out of the vault before

I would not be surprised Disney doing something for Lion King 20th Anniversary 2014
The 25th Anniversary is not until 2019 and 30th Anniversary not until 2024
It may of course not come out of the Vault but that up to Disney UK
They could bring it out of the vault for a 4k Remastered Blu-ray
Will we be still buying Steelbooks in 2017/2019 or 2024

Looking forward to seeing the Artwork today for Alice in Wonderland and Friday getting my order in
I hope there are working discount codes on Friday or Saturday
