To me that would be like saying you would rather they have a dvd version as well when it was Blu-ray taking over. Doesn't make any sense.
I didn't say it made sense.
I'm just going by what I've read from others here.
But I understand what you're saying. But no, they can keep the DVD.
But for me personally, Blu-ray is the end of the line. I'm a dinosaur. All my favourite movies were released in theatres years ago. I won't be upgrading to 3D or 4K or whatever comes after that. I still have a 42" Panasonic Plasma TV from 2007. Keeps me warm in the winter. And I don't redeem digital codes.
Some people say 3D will die out (for home viewing) and they have stopped making 3D TV's.
And Canada has stopped releasing a lot of movies on blu-ray in 3D.
James Cameron says 4K is crap and a rip-off and that 3D will rule again because that will be the only way you will be able to take home his Avatar sequel if you want to (I don't need to see any of the sequels) and that they will make 3D TV's again.
Is he right? I have no idea. But I believe I've read that 3D TV's will come back again next year.
I feel that I have enough blu-ray movies now to last me a lifetime.
So once regular blu-ray goes, I won't need to buy anymore.
But from a lot of the comments I've read here, people just want to have a choice.
