Good to see that the front of the j-card is white or grey print on a black background like the Amaray.

Must have been mentioned before but Zavvi could make their "Ultra Limited Editions" more desirable if they took a leaf out of Entertainment Store's book and printed stickers for all their steelbooks that fall into this category.
These stickers could be rectangular, as per the E.S. stickers, or indeed any other shape, though I prefer the long rectangular shape as it doesn't cover too much of the artwork, and could read:-
"LIMITED EDITION OF 1,000 (or 1,500 or 2,000) AVAILABLE EXCLUSIVELY AT ZAVVI"
One of these on this steelbook would be the icing on the cake IMO.

I can't see this release anywhere else in the world ATM so I'm wondering if this is going to remain a Zavvi UK worldwide exclusive or if it will pop up in Germany and in other territories ?

I believe, once it says Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook on their website, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE that the EXACT SAME STEELBOOK would pop up anywhere else in the whole wide world.
That would really be unheard of if it happened!

A lot of Zavvi
1,000/2,000/2,500/3000 limited editions have been a shared print runs and got released in other countries

The only true steelbook exclusives from Zavvi have been the back catalogue releases from of the Disney Collection (Excluding New Films) Pixar Collection
StudioCanal Steelbooks (Majority of them)
ICON Home Entertainment Steelbooks (All of them So Far)
Lionsgate steelbooks (Majority of them)

Some exclusives were 4,000 print runs
A few of the other limited to 4,000 have been exclusive but at some stage may get a release in another country


The other Film Studio Releases have been shared print runs
Lot of Zavvi Ultra Limited Steelbooks get released in other countries a few months later
Zavvi get part of this print run but have them first for a limited period and then the rest of the print run is released to other retailers worldwide
This happens with Warner/Sony/Fox/Disney Action Films and many other Film Studio releases

Examples only there is a lot more
Shared print runs listed as Ultra Limited to 1,000/2000/2,500 but these got a release in other countries

Ultra Limited can be 1,000/2,000/2,500/3,000
It also can be released in another country if the Film Studio wants to do this

If the Entertainment Store can put out exclusive steelbooks with stickers (a few examples being DIVERGENT, NEED FOR SPEED, 300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE, NATURAL BORN KILLERS, TRUE ROMANCE and THE CORPSE BRIDE) then if Zavvi has true exclusives like those from the ES - and OF COURSE THEY DO / HAVE DONE IN THE PAST / WILL HAVE IN THE FUTURE - I see no reason why stickers could not be applies to the Zavvis.
Others may not understand or appreciate the concept but that's to be expected.

EDIT: FYI I've just noticed that this very same topic is being discussed over on the Zavvi / Mondo X RESERVOIR DOGS thread and it is mooted that "ZAVVI EXCLUSIVE" will be printed on or stickered to the translucent slipcover.

Mindlessly pre-ordered this when it went live, but I absolutely despise that front artwork and have cancelled it for now. Going to wait to see how this turns out, really dont want to support this release, as much as I want the film. Hoping another version is announced very soon.

Zavvi Sticker = Higher Cost they won't do it for free


Zavvi exclusive to make their releases exclusives to me would be like what Nova/Kimchi/HDzeta/Film Arena releases do they have something unique to each reach that make them proper numbered exclusives

Entertainment Store stopped using Stickers a while back and then went with exclusive printed on the Jcard instead and then later 300 rise of empire Steelbook no reference to been exclusive anywhere on the steelbook even though it was only released from them

It Would be good if before release date we see an actual photo of the steelbook and not have to guess looking at a mock up photo what the steelbook looks like

They have before provided proper photos before for some releases so in my opinion be good idea to show it
