It is an "Anniversary Edition" with extras not included on previous editions although I imagine the same extras as on the GBP 7.99 Amazon / "5 for GBP 30" Promotion at HMVOnline Anniversary Amaray which I haven't bought yet as am STILL trying to get Amazon to do a stock check and let me know if they are shipping this in the original pressing BLACK Amaray . . .

Comparing it to the Australian (?) Sony import I already have :-

SONY extras:
AUDIO COMMENTARIES
FEATURETTES
DELETED SCENES
(Special Features in SD and not rated)
Approx. 102 Mins.

LIONSGATE extras:
2 X AUDIO COMMENTARIES
DELETED SCENES WITH DIRECTOR'S COMMENTARY
THE 80s DOWNTOWN
AMERICAN PSYCHO: FROM BOOK TO SCREEN - INCLUDING THE PORNOGRAPHY OF KILLING, A VIDEO ESSAY BY HOLLY WILLIS
102 Mins. Approx.

It IS white, albeit a slightly darker white than "Ex-Machina" for example.
Maybe if we just call it "A Whiter Shade of Pale" . . . LOL
I'd say it's white - even though I'm no colour expert - and I'd ask the man/woman from Dulux to confirm this one way or t'other as I don't know the point at which white becomes grey and grey becomes white.

I remember reading a post approx 12 months ago about most wanted steelbooks on here. I vividly remember someone posting
"A Dredd steelbook is never going to happen, and neither is American Psycho. Deal with it".

While the journey for both has been frustrating, and the end product doesent even come close to realising its potential, its nice to finally be at the stage where they are both a reality, and not the urban myths they were fast becoming.

Took the plunge and ordered this based on the pics. While I still hate that front art, I cannot wait to watch this film again. Its been almost 10 years.

If you see grey than it's grey, no matter what shade of grey it is.
I just checked pictures a few posts above mine and comparing the j-cards white parts to the steelbook beneath it looks like the color is more grey than white.

Would actually have to buy it and see it in hand before making a strong judgement about the color.

Will wait for a price drop.

I have a little request ...
Can someone please make a side by side picture (without flash) of American Graffiti, Forrest Gump and American Psycho? Would love to see the difference in color.

Thank you! :)

It's a beaut !
Great to see that it's WHITE, red and black
Looking forward to my copy arriving later today
WELL WORTH THE WAIT

EDIT 10.30AM: Received it. Love it. 9/10.
As noted above this is an off-white steelbook and certainly not as white as EX-MACHINA for example
Though initially slightly put off by the head carrying over onto the top edge of the steel in the style of Salvador Dali's melting clocks (as seen in his "Persistence of Memory" painting) I appreciate now that it is better this way instead of cutting off the top half of the head without the continuation over the lip of the steel :)
I agree with you, when the artwork was announced I was gutted, however in hand it looks good and it is heavy and feels really well made.....

Certainly various shades of white on the Dulux - and on other charts - very similar to the background colouring of this steelbook.

Anyway, just dropped a line to SCANAVO to request confirmation of the exact shade of white (or other colour) used on this steelbook and will post the information if they are good enough to reply.

Just a thought - it could just be the same colour shade that was used to decorate P.B.'s apartment in the film . . .

It's a good film for polarising opinions and you just have to read the short essay by Tasha Robinson in "The Dissolve - Features - Movie of the Week" from the 17th April, 2014 and you'll come across the debate "Did He Really Kill Those people vs. Was it All In His Head ?".

It's definitely more white than silver and I really like no title on the front looks a lot better than I had thought

White and gloss is great but im still bummed about the art chosen.... Although im still hopping, since this is a "ultra-limited" release, that some major player like Kimchi, Plain Archive or Nova picks up the remaining Print Run and do something special with it like what happened with The Grand Budapest Hotel
