It seems some of these have a manufacturing defect on the front edge to the right of the mustache. Some reports on the other steel forum. It's on mine a light spot on dark color. About 1/2 inch X 1/2 inch. It looks great other than that. I can live with it. Look closely before you buy.

Seemed like they all were bumped badly in the backs at the three Walmarts I was at - many had some scratches on the wrapping - I could not find any without boils on the back....all the same spot too, but got the least scratched on the plastic copy they had.

Watching the 2nd Ron tonight :scat:
 
Stopped by two local stores here at lunch, one had 10 copies, the other had 17, all possessed at least one flaw/defect. Most had spine slashes, many had an assortment of misglued and/or poorly cut spine labels, many with paint chips around the edges of the spine label. The one I ended up picking was the only one without a spine slash nor any of the other spine-related issues, although it does have a noticeable-but-small rackwire ding on the bottom side that I don't mind, considering what appears to be pretty poor overall stock condition with this release. And that's before you take The Wal-Mart Factor into account.

Hope everyone ends up with a copy they're happy with. :)

Got this before work. Really nice finish. Heavy. Quality steel. Double feature.

***Had scratches and pait chip Under the j card on the back. Returned & replaced with another copy, two Knicks on the back. Factory imperfections on this one too bad!

I got mine, wallyworld only had 3 at my store, two with spine slash, all with the printing defect with coloring by the mustache, I got the best one, but it seems to have slight chipping near the edge of the spine.

Just so you all no there is no defect by the mustache. It's just a bit of background

My WalMart is just filled with these ! But sadly, with further inspection, 90% of these were defected . 'Bout 3 w/ spine slashes (which isn't that bad) and most just have the "Blu-ray, Paramount, & Anchorman 1&2" logos on the spine misplaced . Other than that, everything's in tact
 
After looking through I found was I thought was a mint steel. There's a paint chip on the top back. I can live with it.


Like most people are reporting, the majority of these are spine splashed. This poor fella even got it twice :ohno:

Got mine like an hour ago. I opened it in my car to see if it was damaged, so I could swap it out before I left. Looked good to me. Got it home and wouldn't you know, there was a scratch on the back through Brian Fantana's sleeve. Hate when that happens!
 
I got several from my local Walmart. Some had a few tiny paint scratches (like tiny defects). I did notice that there were several with slight bits of paint missing around the top and bottom edges of the spine. Very slight, but with it being a black spine, I could see it. No spine slashes on the copies in my store. There were about 20ish on display.

Looks real nice. I don't think I can justify getting the separate ones (Zavvi + ES Store) when this one can be had for $27 USD. It's glossy, has nice artwork, and contains all discs so it's fully loaded. Amazing deal when you think about it. If I have one gripe (and I suppose then I do:D).. it's that I think having "Anchorman" on the front would be very cool. I do not buy title-less steels any more, but I made an exception for this one.

Yeah my original and replacement had scratches , Knicks on Brian fantana

This really sucks, for an otherwise great quality Steelbook. Aside from the fact it like there's a smudge near Ron's collar.
