Is this a Paramount title then? Because like you said... if anyone can actually do a metallic steelbook right, then it's them! Out of all the mainstream studios, they produce some of the best steels IMO. I kind of hope this doesn't receive any 'bossing though... at least not on the black stuff anyway (a debossed title would look ok - if there is one, that is). Either full gloss or spot gloss would do me just fine.
Yea paramount and I agree they have some of the best silver or metalic steels out there. Ghost protocol isn't bad either
I just said embossing on the black stuff because it reminds me of MACHINA steel. And that worked well even with the gold and silver frame of Ava
So if it is silver I have faith they will spruce it up but I'd rather it be white
Paramount don't always use official poster art and sometimes get a little creative just for the steel so this could possibly be the final art considering it's not an official poster.
Plus that mock up with the slip although don't always mean it's 100% does sometimes work out that way
Ah, so, no alien craft on the front 
Would have preferred an ID 2 style front for this but I suppose that would be too in your face and they've gone for elegant and subtle to differentiate this type of "thinking person's sci-fi" to the INDEPENDENCE DAY / CLOSE ENCOUNTERS style blockbusting almost brainless entertainment.
Oh well no biggie but not really a fan of smoke rings as steelbook artwork even though this is how the aliens apparently communicate and is relevant to the film . . . with the aliens here apparently shrouded in smoke a lot of the time, reportedly, so we don't see much of them in order to keep the budget down (only $50M. . . lol) and getting a sense of deja vu based on that info - THE MIST- and of course in many cases less is indeed more with this type of film . . .

I agree, Prisoners, Eneny and Sicario were all excellent. He's definatly another director to watch out for. I haven't seen Incendies yet but I need to check it out!
Of course, i didnt forget about Blade Runner. Him and Ryan GoslingHis earlier stuff like Polytechnique and Incendies are really good too! Hell, I even love the shorts he's done. Dude can do no wrong IMO, and I cannot wait for Blade Runner 2!

I managed to improve mine a bit, but I'm still not 100% happy with it... mostly because there's tons of better posters for the film, but I wanted to give it that wrap around effect I often go for and this was the only image I could find that would work.

Good call! One of the things that bugged me was the fact the hieroglyph didn't stand out much, so spot glossing would definitely help with that.
