Ordered for 13.49 thanks to MrBMT
May cancel closer to the date but at least I have it discounted in case I do keep it?
glad it worked for you.I don't know if you've heard, but there are these things called opinions and everyone is entitled to one.I have no idea why people are ordering this, what is wrong with you people?! By ordering this you're telling them that this sort of design is perfectly ok, so could those same people tell me what the **** a bank vault has got to do with this film!!!!!!!!!!![]()
Pre-ordered, had a "we miss you" email offering 10% off, and it worked with this making it £13.49.
If anyone else wants to do the same, click this link to activate the code, then use code APR10 at checkout. (Expires midnight UK time tonight.)
glad it worked for you.
That's the way I'm going with this release too, I'm leaning towards keeping it as it looks like an interesting package and I don't have the film on bluray etc. but figured I'd rather order now with a discount then cancel later if needed instead of ordering later without one.

Personally, I like the Steelbook despite the design being random. If you don't like it, that's cool, but there's no need to try and force your views on everyone else.

a) Because it's different to generic steelbook number one million and one. That's great but can you tell me a) why do you like the design, and b) what has it got to do with the film??? I notice you chose to ignore that part of my post...

b) Who says it has to be? Perhaps they're locking away the 'top secret' film inside a vault?

You could ask that about a lot of covers. That's great but can you tell me a) why do you like the design, and b) what has it got to do with the film??? I notice you chose to ignore that part of my post...
You could ask that about a lot of covers.
Example: What the hell is Scarlett Johansson doing on the cover of HER? She never appears in the film.

Be careful. You never know who might be reading. Maybe all the future Disney Classics steelbooks will be an image of an open vault with the classic VHS cover inside.I discussed this with someone in the corresponding thread, and was told Johanssons' face is formed from binary pattern face recognition. So it still makes more sense than this artwork in my opinion.
I've seen this movie (Austin Powers 1) many times years ago and although I don't mind the design, the reasoning behind it escapes me. It's "top secret" because he's a spy that's the only connection I can draw from this.![]()

I think your right, it looks 'something' like it...I think the cover represents the cryo vault - where Austin Powers is cryogenically frozen (about 8 minutes into the film).
This being the case the cover is apt.

But just like with the Guardians of the Galaxy steelbook, the designers botched the artwork. It's a completely different vault door!I think the cover represents the cryo vault - where Austin Powers is cryogenically frozen (about 8 minutes into the film).
This being the case the cover is apt.
