Eh was hoping the 4K movie would be split over 2 discs so the bitrates would remain extremely high but of course this is disney we are talking about so expected lol

They normally only use 66gb discs so them using a 100gb disc would be extremely rare.

Edit: it's confirmed 100gb

Yeh for sure. I'm sure James Cameron pushed for the 100gb discs but it's as you say, disney will be straight back to 66gb discs after these 2 releases

Can't see that aspect ratio being correct.. it'll be 1.85:1 for sure. IMAX, most 3D and the VOD releases were all that ratio, so I can't see the discs, particularly not the 3D discs, using 2.39:1.

Rear covers confirms 1.85:1 aspect. No atmos on 3D, but it is at least 7.1 vs 5.1 on blu-ray. No mention of DV on the 4K, but that doesn't mean it won't have it.

BD-66 most likely. I don't even wanna imagine how that will look like. >.<

Oh it'll look fine. 9gb 1080p BD rips look fine, meaning we could've had FullHD Blu-ray quality in 1996.

So there are two flavours of on offer here 4K (x1 disk) or 3D blu ray (x2 disks); both with normal x2 blu ray equivalent. Makes a change to have some choice
