The Print Run will most likely be the usual 4,000
Although they don't mention this that's what you can expect
If this was a First time release of the film as a steelbook they would most likely have gone with a bigger print run but even then it would have been in region of 4,000 to 5,000

If you want this steelbook I would place your order and not worry about print runs as long as you get your order in as that's all that counts

If you delay putting an order in waiting to see if its still available at a later stage for a price drop you most likely would end up missing out as this will end up as sold out

Its Marvel release its The Avengers you know this is going to sell out fast its the best looking Steelbook release so far compared to the previous steelbook releases and has a Lenticular Magnet

Its possible but I don't think Zavvi take risks anymore with large print runs as they learnt from the past mistake with the Disney Steelbooks with Little Mermaid and Jungle Book when they went with another print run
The original print run with these was 5,000 and all 5,000 sold out and they went for another 5,000 print run with Disney increasing to 10,000

If they wanted to do another print run after initial 4,000/5,000 with The Marvel Avengers Steelbook they might end up getting left with stock so I cant see them doing that as they know they can sell 4,000 with this release and make full profit why risk that

I remember at the time, Zavvi sending me an email saying there was only 200 left (or something) of The Jungle Book. The swines!!

Yeah, but when I tried to order 2 copies of Whiplash, I was forced into tracked shipping at £11.99!!! Then I canceled and ordered them 1 at a time at £1.99 a piece shipping. I think it had to do with the weight...but I had ordered multiple copies many times before without that happening , so I have no idea what they are up to...

Its been known about long time ago and been mentioned before
They did originally for real sell out when it was only 5,000
The first Disney steelbook Aladdin sold out very fast
Jungle Book and the Little Mermaid also initially sold out the original 5,000
They then thought they could sell lot more so they decided to go with another print run for Jungle Book/Little Mermaid and by doing so overestimated the demand for these 2 releases and as you know they ended up selling these off cheaply at £9.99 to get rid of the unsold stock

As far as I know they decided not to risk that mistake again and just go with the usual 4,000 or 5,000
with other releases and 6,000 for Captain America: The Winter Soldier

The 2,000/2,500 print runs are different as they end up getting a release in other countries around the same time or at a later stage

As far as we know this Marvel Avengers Assemble Steelbook with exclusive artwork and Lenticular magnet is only going to be released in the UK with Zavvi and not other countries
