Yeah They all look the same for most part ... The futureshop one might be more collectible though since its the only one which is a Viva metal box

Yep. I should have one of those coming and I have a preorder for the UK steel. Ill see which I like best and trade or sell the other ones.

there's a bit of concern about the European release of Avengers on BD

Disney shafted UK fans by releasing Pirates of the Carribean : On Stranger Tides 3D and John Carter (2D and 3D) with a bit-starved DTS-HR 7.1 track that capped out at 2.0 mbps

hope they don't follow suit

Does anyone know if this is a single disc release? The Italian steelbook is listed as 2 disc, and the US Avengers box set is getting a disc of extras (which the equivilant UK set does not have). Is the UK getting screwed out of the extras disc yet again?

I hardly think a movie like this be one disc? . You serious? Such a big blockbuster ranked top 5 (I think) of the highest grossing films when unadjusted for inflation to be one disc in a steelbook collectors edition I'm sure there be plenty of bonus features.

On my pre-order page it is described as one disc. Not sure if this is to be confirmed though. You would think they would have at least included the option of the 3D version for one of the biggest grossing films of all time. The fact that the price is so cheap tells me it will be 'bare bones'.

A friend of mine told me that there is definitely a 3-hour Director's Cut of this movie, and that there was a possibility of that cut being released in theaters before they release the Director's Cut on DVD. Think there's any chance of the 3-hour version being included in any of these Steelbook releases??

Probably not - they're gonna milk this one for all it's worth - what is it up to now in Box Office numbers? Something like 5th biggest of all time?

Studios are all about the re-releases.

Look at Avatar. Had a regular edition steelbook in the UK. Then an extended version was released later (and had a different steelbook in other countries).

Or Lord of the Rings...plenty of examples out there.

That's what I heard also.

I also heard, that apparently Josh said himself, was that there is no directors cut because the movie is exactly the way he wanted it.
