Credit card numbers shouldn't change when they issue a new card, but debit card numbers generally will, if not all 16 digits then some of them (this is because the sort code and account number are included in the card number with some banks).

I'm not saying there's any harm with posting the images again, but just thought I'd point out that these were already posted on page 17 along with an image of the j-card (post #293). Thanks for bringing them to light again though mate. :)

I'm still skeptical as to whether it's the official artwork, but I certainly won't be complaining if it is... it looks awesome!

Pre ordered 2 for myself with the 20% off but my debit card is about to expire.
According to HMV I will not be entitled to the discount when I give them my new card details. They will not transfer existing orders over to a new debit card. I have to cancel my order and re order again but loose my discount. Thats crazy Amazon or play.com just transfer existing orders onto your new card.

when my card details were stolen and i had to get a new card, i just rang them up and gave the new details and they changed the payment card on their side - my orders were never cancelled. now granted my items didnt have a discount code but they should make no difference.

its bizarre you cant just change your payment card and allow it to make payments going forward even on orders made, but there you go.

im looking forward to this - but after damage to a sherlock holmes steel from them and i had to return it for another (first time ive ever sent a uk steel back) i now order 2 of all hmv exclusives at least, and i ordered 3 of these - just cant afford to have this go OOP and end up with a duffer. and i think this will sell well as the steelbook is clean and assemble free.

Whilst this is totally OT, for those in the UK at least the first quad plus now the first digit of 2nd quad doesn't change as that actually identifies the type of card used. The 3rd quad is the "important" one and why you will never find it on receipts etc. What happens to the final quad varies on renewal from card issuer to card issuer. Usually you'll find last 2 numbers roll in opposite direction but first 2 stay the same. As I said it varies. I used to work for large high street bank for 30 years.

I got my card it HAS a new number and new ex date. I t does state on HMV web page that changing to a new card WILL affect pre orders. And you must ring up if you want to keep these orders and give them your new card details. Or change the details online and re order your items but loose any discounts you have with them.

You've all got me worried now - I've got a shed load of pre- orders in for some steel hungry Ninjas and I've got a horrible feeling my c'card expires in September!! :( time to hold your breath gentlemen!! ;)

like i said yesterday there isnt a problem i changed mine to a new card on thursday no problem they went through all 10 pre orders one by one changing the card details to the new card including keeping the discount. and on top of all that one shipped with the new card yesterday including discount. just ring them guys there isnt a problem they will sort it. at the end of the day its in there interest to do it so they keep your custom.

Yeah any of you worrying about expiring CC's just call them and change your payment info... Im SURE its not a problem. After all they dont want to lose your business.

I'm not sure if they are worried about losing their business, I think they know this will sell out eventually :)
