Looks like i'm one of the few people who hasn't changed my order a million times I think. I've stuck with this one, we know the Steelbook should be the same design, so as long as the film is uncut/unaltered, I'll be happy. This one is also a lot cheaper than other releases (£12.79 which is a bargain), so if it lacks extras, I think I can live with that.

The 'cut' version isn't actually that much different. It's just a small special effect that has been erased and is hardly noticeable. The film is the same length and has the same scenes as all the other versions

Same here! Thinking of whether to open a steelbook or get an amaray.

This has been one of the most difficult films to buy imo! Each country practically has a different release in terms of content.

It's just that bloody in-film title. Why couldn't it have just been "THE AVENGERS" and then it would have been the one purchase and job done.....

Amazon Germany have put a up description of the edit on their site, I guess fans complained.
I don't know about you guys but little things like this do bother me, and I would rather have the film look as it was intended by the director, than edited out. I passed on the Immortals Steelbook that was cut, and I would have passed on the UK Indy boxset if it contained the cut version of Temple of Doom, thank goodness after all these years we get to see it properly.

When I saw the blade stick out of the chest it had a lot of impact in the cinema, and you knew the blow was fatal, with that gone you're just going to see him jerk forward like he's having a back spasm, and the shock factor is lost
