I think they get 'blacked out' on ebay so customers can't judge where it lies on the scale of high or low numbers. It makes selling it easier against other sales I guess if they don't know.
That's just a guess. I've seen numbers blacked out loads of times and I think it's pathetic. It should remain and be shown as part of the entire product for sale.

I was assumed it was so copies were untraceable to individual members - saving them from potentially being cancelled from forum gb's after they could see where their copy ended up, regardless of user-name differences between forum and ebay

Blufans don’t have allocated collectible numbers so blanking out the number is pointless

The numbers aren’t allocated to a specific buyer like the FAC collectible numbers, they are sent out randomly. So by blanking it out unless you tell everyone what number you got and then try to sell it on it’s just pointless.

edit: And people here complain a lot about resellers, so just to be sure I would also remove them. It saves a lot of angry posts.

I sold a FAC a while back last year at cost because I was skint and the editon was crap anyway and I blacked out the number so that I’m not banned from future FAC GBs incase I ever used them again
