Those who produced these steelbook's missed an opportunity to really give us collector's an awesome BTTF steelbook collection..

The silver border looks, quite frankly, gash. And the trilogy steel sold out to scalpers in about an hour.

PO'd all three individual steelbooks yesterday. I don't dislike the artwork but I would have preferred the full poster art. Anyways, looking forward to seeing the back and inside artwork. Hopefully the back and inside artwork can elevate the overall look of these.

it looks like they characters are trapped in an elevator on each steelbook, a real shame they didn't go for something like this.

I actually like the new design. Just imagine they had done the ones pictured here, which by the way are fcuking boring, then people would be saying, why don't they try something different. These old poster covers look boring, why try to rehash the amray's!!

So I'm glad for three reasons:

1) They have released steelbooks one of the best movie trilogies ever and one were all crying out for

2) They've release the individuals and the trilogy steels, to give us a choice!

3) They've actually had the balls to try something new with the steelbooks and who knows it might be a really nice effect and look brilliant. Then everyone will be saying how wonderful it is!!

The bottom line is, (this goes for all the haters) if you don't like them don't get them then leave them for the people who actually love the film and the steels! Lets be honest no matter what Zavvi do their will always people moan about them, they're fcuked eiter way!

How can these fanmade covers be boring and the official covers "have balls" while just being the same covers except from having huge borders and logos on it so that you barely can see anything besides the borders and the logo??? oO
I'm not a "hater", I LOVE the movies and would have bought the three steelbooks with this above shown fanmade artwork in a second - to most those old poster covers don't look boring, these are the artworks that they're familiar with since the movies exist! Putting huge boring borders on it isn't "special" ot good in any way, just stupid and veeeery "boring" - in my and many others opinions.

Yes, there is this thing called opinon as always. Nobody said the ones who like the covers shouldn't buy them, but we who don't like them have the right to moan about artwork with stupid ideas. Hey, I'm even happy in one way, that I don't have to spend money the xth time for this trilogy and keep my UK tin box and german trilogy steelbook, which both look fine...

And one last thing for the ones who still don't get it - zavvi don't decide the covers, the movie companies do! And Universal have done a great job in the last months with nice steelbooks like the Jurassic Park ones or King Kong f.e., so most expected/wished for something like the fanmade covers...but these are for sure not the last BTTF steelbooks either.

What a rehash of the poster on a black background isnt boring? Get real! I think zavvi have so many haters on here that most of the steels they put out get vilified and IMO unfairly so. I know they are not perfect and they make mistakes, but the way they have tried to freshen these steels and the trilogy steel show guts and to be honest on this forum they are damned if they do and damned if they don't! Oh and I'm expressing an opinion here so no one can comment on it or moan about it ok!!

Appalled that they'd take the stunning struzan one sheet artwork and them lop half of it off each side, totally erasing the atmosphere from the image completely, and for what? Grey space.

Disgusted that they've taken this route frankly. This is probably the last time these films, heck any classic films, will get a hard copy disc release since the worlds going digital, but for those of us who treasure these eighties classics and want to own the 'ultimate' version 'in hand', this offering is a total let down.

There's nothing boring or 'unfresh' about having the full original artwork on a black gloss steelbook with embossed title, that's not u fresh, that's 'classic'.

If they'd done it right I woulda paid £20 for each of them, for old movies that's a lot. As it is these look like budget reissues. Just shows how totally out of touch the studio is with the demographic.

Maybe it's false mock up, in 2012 when steel for the first movie was announced, mock up also included silver part on the edges, but we all know that the product itself didn't had that silver part.
