Backrooms (4K+2D Blu-ray SteelBook) [France]

Ahh mate I love them but had tickets in 2024 for Dublin & got mega ill whilst there, so couldn't go, was that bad I had to extend stay as too ill to fly back! We went to see Sam Fender & AM too on that Dublin trip but AM cancelled (Alex was ill) so of the 3 only saw SF... was mint though as it lashed it with rain, which just made it better... probably how i got ill!

Banger mate. That and LITD two my favourite albums ever. Think they won Grammy for Deeper Understanding. Got the RSD Thinking of a Place 12" just a perfect song

Yeah, mate, you were definitely cursed on your Dublin trip. I fancy catched Fender one of these days, good you could still got through that one being ill.

Pain, Thinking of a place, Strangest thing, every song is a banger on Deeper.
The one - two follow up of Lost in the Dream and A Deeper Understanding LPs is phenomenal. Can't believe they hit those two back to back.
For me, on Lost in a Dream it has to be An Ocean in between the Waves and Burning. On Deeper, probably Pain and Thinking of a Place.

Great band.

Love The War on Drugs. Saw them 2024 at the Albert Hall. Awesome gig.
They're fantastic live.

It's older now, but A Deeper Understanding is a masterpiece album. Wish I'd seen them during that album tour.
Thanks mate. Gotta say TWOD if you've not listened give them a whirl. Insanely good imo. Try Lost In The Dream LP if you do
Yeah i can’t get into these. Tried both albums. Preferring lost in the dream but I keep skipping. Opening track was decent but it’s not a bit of me

F**k me that’s awful luck. Monkeys one of my favs. Seen them countless times now. Best gig was in Sheffield at the Don Valley Bowl after they broke the US with Humbug and came back for a 2 night homecoming. Think it was for Suck it and see around 2011?? See them 3 times that year in Birmingham where I was living at the time and then back home headlining at V festival. London in 2012 not long after all that too lol. F**k load of us went to that gig we had to get a mini bus. Lost all my Mandy that day too haha. There was still enough to go around tho

It might be something to do with seeing WOD. I've seen Sam 2 times now, the other was ST James Park and initially WOD were supporting! Couldn't believe my luck then they announced they were pulling out few months before. Was super weird as Granduciel had produced. Maybe 3rd time lucky this weekend!

We were at the same gig mate... was the LG Arena back then! I remember the mini mosh pit still now! Fantastic gig!!

Might’ve spoke to soon. Red Eyes is a banger
That's my fave on there I think with Ocean. A lot of their songs just transition to places you weren't expect them to go, just added layers as it goes on. If you like Red eyes you'll probably like Ocean mate

Oh wow yeah that’s mental. Tbh I’ve not got into any newish bands. I know WoD and Wolf Alice aren’t new new but I found it hard getting into new guitar / indie bands in the past 10-15 years. There’s a couple. Same with rap/ hip hop too. Only a few artists like Kendrick I like

Lol seriously? Yeah was LG arena haha. Quality that. See a few good acts there like Arcade Fire (although that could’ve been NIA), Jay-Z, Gorillaz, Noel Gallagher (that could’ve also been NIA thinking about it). I lived right near the NIA and I was at the O2 academy or HMV institute at least once a week so if all blurs into one. I’ve always gone into London for good music but living in Birmingham for 3 years in the city centre was absolutely fantastic for my then life style. Everything was walking distance except the LG which cost about £4 to get to lol. Ah man see Maccabees, Doherty, Scroobius pip, Blur (was in wolves but we drove there and that was the same with the Sheffield monkeys gig), Snoop Dogg, wu tang, Nas & Damian Marley, mystery jets, the view to name a few that I can remember. My last night before I moved back home home was a Bloc Party gig with all my mates. Was a great send off

Sounds like you seen a lof of great artists there mate. I honestly just stick to AM, Coldplay & KOL until last couple of years where I've been trying to go to more. I had seen AM on every tour up until Dublin and that broke the streak! I bet Nas & Damien M was good

Bloc Party gig
Great band too. Finally seen them few years ago and thought they were great. I'm thinking to catch them doing a joint gig with Interpol soon in Bham
