I’ve asked for the other two to be sent separately by airmail to the UK, but have been advised that the cost for that is the same as sending both together by EMS - surely that’s not right because EMS is normally really expensive?

I hope the 4 people who haven't yet paid aren't going to delay things to the point whereby all will end up shipping after Chinese new year. If that happens then split shipping is the preferred option, which I haven't done.
I don't mind risking customs but for others to delay things after picking a preference in shipping won't be very fair.
