they more than likely will. the import duty payable usually works out at roughly 20% (give or take), as is my experience here in the UK.
also note, duty is paid on the total amount, (ie, item + p&p) which seems a bit unfair!!:angry::angry::angry::angry:

Ugh thats why i hate DHL but they do get stuff done! Haha, dang this steelie looks way too good to pass up... :hilarious:

hi guys need help setting up amazon japan account i liv in the uk but carnt get it sorted

Try using the Google Chrome browser and make sure you let it detect a non-English site and then accept the query to translate the site for you. Alternatively, near the top right of the home page, is an option to navigate the site in English. Oddly, it says "In English" ;)

online duty calculators do seem to take postage costs into account, which is why i assume the total amount is the taxable figure. if this isn't the case then import duty on the item only is even higher than i thought!!EEK!EEK!EEK!EEK!

EITHER WAY, IMPORT DUTY SUCKS!!:angry::angry::angry::angry:

Ungodly fast. You'll have it within 3 days of release. I personally have never been charged any import fees. Only ordered twice in my life from them though.

I guess my main concern is how do they package the SteelBooks? I've heard some bad stories and wanted to gauge how they package their SteelBooks?

Superb! Best I have seen until tonight when Amazon.de's shipment came today:) I guess Amazon has finally (knock on wood) figured out how to package steelbooks for shipping. My last 3 shipments from Amazon.jp came with the steelbook shrink-wrapped to a larger piece of cardboard and then inserted into a box with bubble wrap. This wrapping is in addition to the shrinkwrap from the factory. Extremely sturdy and highly protective.

And man were they fast - 3 days to my door on the west coast, but one additional day to the east coast according to my DHL delivery man. Oh yes, they made me sign for my package too.

I'm unable to enter a non-Japanese format shipping address on amazon.co.jp, any idea how to fix that??? I finally gave in and ordered both Batmans and Se7en and it seems as if the website checked my bank statement and wants to prevent me from going ahead with the order for my own good EEK!

I had to go under account and there is a place to add your US address in there. I believe it was the middle option that let me enter my US address. BTW, I am using Google Chrome browser with automatic translation turned on. Without it I would have been lost :drool:

When you get to the address bit click on the text I've highlighted with the red box ('Or Enter...) and it'll take you to the international address page.

Worked like a charm, I didn't wanna do it, but hey, x-mass is around the corner, so 108 Euros for 3 steelbooks + custom fees and and and, shoot, what have I done?? :drool:
