How do you find out if this will be rare and worth the money to buy?

Or do you just have to go for it and see what happens?

Hi Awkward-Steelbook collecting is highly speculative, so unfortunately you always take the risk, that a Steelbook will not appreciate. However, if you set out to buy the Steel because you like the movie, it won't matter...unless your primary objective is for resale. %-wise, few Steelbooks ever go the 'Iron Man' Futureshop route, for example...happy collecting!

Cheers ash, yeah I seen that on the site and added it to basket too. thanks for the heads up! Will look awsome together aswell.

Na im not looking to collect for resale's Digital, just adds up to quite allot with shipping here to the UK. and to spend this much then it be worthless would just bug me is all:) Cheers!

Dbabe's covered all the points on this hobby. Not sure how many folks remember collecting stamps, baseball cards, comic books (some still do), bottle caps, etc. We don't start out hoping to cash in big someday. We do it because we enjoy it. And now as adults with "some" disposable income, we get to choose what hobbies to pick up and in this case, it is steelbook collecting. And for some of us, it happens to encompass our love of all things art, movies, music, comics, and even video games. It enriches our lives to enjoy the things that make us happy. And anything Batman makes me very happy :oohyeah:

Ash-good points in how SB collecting appeals to many who also collected other things...and certainly to different 'senses':)

Blurayjunkie, I believe Wreck verified that these are G2 a few weeks ago. That seller is a member at HDN, and probably just selling a pre-order using the pack shot from Amazon. The packshots are often skewed.

Hi can anyone help a newbie - does Amazon JP not allow you to combine orders for shipment? I have been trying to add to my order but can not see this option....

Hi Apedemak-sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. You can send them e-mail and ask if they'll do it. If you need help navigating the website, you can install an add in called 'Auto translate' for Google Chrome, or Firefox, and it will translate the website automatically.

Apedemak, essentially what DB said to send email to them and ask them to combine the orders. Use this link on the Chrome browser, log in with your Amazon.JP account and post your request to them through email (first button from the left).

Good luck!
