10 more days till this amazing wave hits the streets. Do we have any Japanese members here who can get us the immediate scoop on what these babies look like? Like say if the Bat logo is embossed/debossed, or if there is a slip cover?

Man I preordered these twice and cancelled lol, I mean they're freaking nice but expensive too after shipping and customs , thinking of ordering them again and for the last time

U guys think these will sell out quick?, also should go just go for Batman steels only as I wanted all 5 in one go gto save on postage, what'd U think?

I did a workup on the cart and the shipping is so high you really don't get as much savings unless you were to order five or more.

Collector, I don't know about pre-orders but using the "required" international shipping and the option to ship all items together, Amazon.jp surprised me by shipping two items out of the order early because they were available at no additional charge. Here is how fast it came. I placed the order for 7 items on Saturday evening US west coast time and two of the items arrived at my door Tuesday morning by DHL Global with signature. 1.5 working days!!!!! Damn these guys are good! So I expect these releases to be delivered before Christmas on the US west coast. Cannot speak for the rest though.

The reason I mention the inception one is because it is different than all the rest. I just hate to see people be this close to having something and then when it goes OOS they are screwed. These amazon.jp steels are always beautiful. They are top quality steels always.

For those deciding on the ROI for these steels, I guess I can provide some information from my parley(sp?) with me Amazon pals at holiday party #1 this past weekend. Use it to help you decide for yourselves:

1. These steelbooks are highly sought after by the Amazon employees themselves worldwide. They did not say if there is any special consideration given to internal sales but did say they had been unsuccessful getting their hands on some except as regular customers.
2. Sometime before mid November, anyone can buy as many copies of these steelbooks as they like but they put the clamps on when the pre-orders "sky-rocketed" for a few titles and me pals even hinted they had to dig into "special stock" to prevent the "embarrassment" of pre-orders being out of stock.
3. Please don't quote me on this but from what I gathered, it seems to me Amazon wants the Japanese site to make a huge exclusive bang with this wave of steelbooks (online versus B&M). I take this as raising the quality of the steelbooks and the special pricing of these babies compared to how they priced Thor or even Unstoppable.

Again, please don't quote me on any of this. We will find out soon enough.

Yeah I guess I know what U mean but £145 for the 5 steelbooks shipped to the UK and excluding customs is a killer as it is lol

These are IMO going to have a premium finish to them. I expect a shiny gloss finish. They will sell out within a month of release I bet.

Unfortunately this is the trend of quality steelbooks which ironically make them "true" collectibles. I will also add that the fact Amazon.JP got this wave is no coincidence given the huge market to the west of them ala Moulin Rouge, Romeo+Juliet and Ice Age 1,2,3 ironpaks. This could be the precursor to huge things to come in 2012. Hint - a blockbuster movie coming next summer and it ain't that title starting with "A"
