Geez. I just checked on where my were and they're in OHIO. What are they doing over there?

I'm in Arizona. I don't understand why they couldn't have come with the ones that came through Los Angeles.

All the way to OHIO and now they gotta come back? Lame.

Matte finish. Not the glossy finish we were led to believe. I suppose they will drop in price as well over time.

Wow that sucks ... tho the Asian scanavo rep was brand new at the time, as he replaced another .. guess he didnt know the difference.

I dont think they will get any cheaper Chip ? as they are cheap allready  , just the postage that kills me EEK!

I put them next to my other Japan steelz and they look like my 12 year Ols sone should have them to play with :hilarious:

just my opinion guys

I guess one thing is good then. The value on those older steels will go way then compare to these ones. :hilarious:

I really want this steelbook. It looks great. I want it even more because I don't think Batman Begins ever had a slipcover made. Does seem pretty expensive though.

Mixed feedbacks on these steelbooks kinda killing the excitement now, hope they meet my expectations when I get them in hand.

I have to admit to being a bit underwhelmed too. They're nice, but very unlike most Japan steels I've had, and the plainness reminds me a little bit of some of the recent MM German budget reissues (though the finish is much better on the Japanese steels).

So I dunno - they're cool and the white ones make an attractive set, but they just don't POP like I thought they might. A bit of embossing might have made all the difference. ;)

That is the "problem" with delaying a much anticipated release from back in December. Look at the new steelbooks that have since been released which are "better" than these catalog titles. Hence the underwhelming response but personally I am very excited with these steelbooks after looking at them in person for 5 minutes :hilarious::hilarious:

So... I got 'the call' today from DHL who are holding my precious for ransome of £36...:( I told them to come to my door and we will do the exchange...I want my much longed for babies now... and they better not be damaged in any way...EEK!

VRob makes a very good point on the lack of POP for these steels in that they remind him of the German MM budget re-issues. Perhaps I am impressed by this wave because I did not get a single one of those re-issue.

Guys these are da bomb, especially the White ones and I simply can't understand how some of you could even compare them to German or even Canadian reissues, they are on par with the old Japanese releases and yes I have them all (A-Team/Unstoppable/Narnia/Knight & Day etc), yes they could've been 200% better have the titles been embossed/debossed but since when any of the Japanese steelbooks have been given that extra treatment (apart from T2 V1 & 2 which are identical, the case that is), these are as expected nothing more nothing less, we saw the pictures and knew how they look like from day 1 (clean inner/front & back art), the prices aren't perfect but if I have to be honest they ARE much cheaper than all the previous ones I got from Amazon.jp and no it is not because they are made cheaper, so guys & gals enjoy your purchase and be glad with what you got as not everyone can afford and will manage to get them, few months from know most of these will rocket high on ebay and the like... I guess we've all over-hyped them unnecessary, they are and always been a great looking steelbooks and that my 2 cents, each to their own :)

Well said DJ. They are cheap right now sans the delivery charge but once they are become scarce or sold out, they will be more expensive to acquire on the reseller market.

They look and feel even better unwrapped/unsealed. The shrinkwrap is already topnotch - smooth and tight all around the steelbook. Sorry I can't get hi-res pictures right now, maybe chip will, seeing he has them delivered today.

I won't be taking any pics as I am not home for a couple months. The wifey is taking care of business for me. Be nice to her, she is a bodybuilder. :scat:
