Lol maybe his rent is due! Definitely not worth those prices...wait a month or so this steel wont go for more than $150

I think the trilogy will be worth a nice chunk but the key to this is that there arent a ton of rereleases. As of now these are limited so if this run sticks i think prices may average out quite a bit higher than 150 even 200.

Buddy, you've picked my mind. I'll see how this steel performs in the long run before even considering adding it to my collection.

fair points all around...I never bought it to sell it. I just really like them and want all 3... Im surprised though not many think this steel is at least going to go up significantly in value?

Its already in the stratosphere in terms of value, propelled by a mega hit blockbuster movie. How can it possibly go up when the movie is gone from the theatres in a few months? If you bought it and like it, thats great, if you decide to sell, you will get a real premium for it. It is true that I'm not seeing much of these on ebay, but I do see alot of its sibling "the Dark Knight" (and I do mean alot). Which leads me to believe that there must be a similar amount of Batman Begins out there. Which in turn means that this steels price is based on hype rather than rarity, which in turn means that it has no staying power. But thats just what I think. Who knows really? Maybe it'll overthrow IM to be the new king.

For me to add any steel thats priced in the $300-$500+ range, it has to be scrutinized to death. It will be put under an electron microscope, in which every atom is examined (hahaha). But seriously, long term performance is very key for me. My collection is based on rarity, not hype.

all excellent pts....still u gotta admit there some of the best looking steels besides watchmen....i think selling now is not a bad idea but you are correct that tdk is out there but begins isnt..its true though that tdk is available so its value is anchored by still being on amazon... when they are both soldout i think well start to see a real value but its crazy that begins alone is going for 300-450....and it must be scrutinized

Wow it costs some absurd amounts for you UK guys to import from Amazon.jp lol

I placed an order for 5 things earlier(4 white steels), came out to $41 USD each

I want Batman Begins of course but I don't think I'll ever get one without paying through the nose for it

I really cant comprehend how batman begins can go OOP faster than The dark knight. Is there some kind of pattern to which ones that will be rare or not because if it is based off of popularity of the movie the dark knight should of went OOP before batman begins. Really mind boggling.

From my personal experience helping fellow collectors, BB is more desirable because of:

- Batman on the cover,
- BB is the first of the trilogy, and
- the complete and intact Batman logo on the front cover.

Following the rivalry line between DC and Marvel comics, I am thinking WB will break the print plates of this design to keep this BB release in the same steelbook stratosphere as Future Shop's Iron Man (in my humble opinion :)).

I agree as they definitely should do this to keep the exclusivity, though if they see the demand for this steelbook at 3 months after release, they might see high dollar numbers and decide to re-release this series but with minor differences: combo sets, different slips, no interior artwork, etc. Just enough to make the completists re-buy the set also.

Still a very good price though. This and TDK also sold together for about £225 today. Now the TDK is also sold out I expect an increase, and if these aren't released in a uk wave as everyone seems to be worrying about then the value could sky rocket even more.
