Got my shipping notice as well! Hoping I can trade it for the The Dark Knight-version some day.

Just received my steels from K2. I wrote them to check very carefully for paintchips or rips in plastic etc. The first thing i see is a paintchip in the left upper corner on the front of BB where that slight factory error was shown wonder if more have paintchips because both had it DK slightly minor.

Also the first thing i see on DK is a rip in the plastic on the front.:hilarious:

What's the point to package them great like they do with several layers of bubblewrap if they don't check the steels more carefully.

Probably lost in translation, my friend. I empathise with you, mate. Some of the pictures posted on the defects on the TDK KR main thread is worrying....

I did not see it in the photo they provided either, but they did says this in the announcement:

A part below the red circle shows that the paint is slightly removed

Yeah but that's on the top of the spine right. This is a dot on the front upper left corner just on the bump or what you would call that error. Anyway i have them for trade over at the trade section if anyone is not Ocd and opens their steels and don't care about a 1cm rip in plastic either.

No neeed to return right since they are still rare..

Yeah part of the reason I decided not to bother with it. An expensive steel, plus to possibility of it being bad quality and defective.

I figure Ill take my chances and see if these gets a re release at some point. I have a decent feeling it will and if they don't honestly I don't really care....

received my copy today from K2DVD. The ding isn't that bad, imo. I can live with it. I was really concerned about the coloring issue, and the re-release is definitely purple in color, but it actually still looks really cool.

Another cool steelbook that won't make it here to the States. Although, in general it looks like Best Buy is starting to really get with steelbooks as exclusives.

I just had a gander at these on eBay. The prices are ridiculous.
Now that I know TDKR isn't getting a release similar to this anytime soon I doubt I'll ever pay those extortionate prices even though these are some lovely looking steelbooks.

I ordered it and obvo didn't know about the ding... tbh I havent noticed it at all, the only thing I did notice was the purple, I thought I bought a fake :|

guys can somebody enlighten me?
people call this 1st and 2nd release...
no pictures have proved it right or wrong...
my question is...is there a second release? (IMO the first release is JP and second the KR)
but i am just assuming nothing more...
if someone could just post comparison pictures it would be grateful....
