The only one I ordered was Batman Begins. I thought the last 2 didn't work with the slip covering half the artwork. Also me being in a strict budget didn't help either....

BB is the only version which looks good with the KR Slip.

susiataiji @ ebay got 2 left - $76 including shipping

No, this new re-release is pretty easy to get. The first release was mega rare but also had factory defects. Haven't heard the same about this one yet.

Yeah I remember asking between the 2 and if it's only the defect than really there's no difference. I could understand a misprint making the original more valuable but having scratches and the newer version having none? Not sure about that. But I guess Jack Reacher UK is one example...

Together they make up for 300 copies worldwide (first release was 100, re-release 200):

I checked against distributor

I'm sure that lower than 300.

first release is around 100 (kimchi only handle 10 or 20 because kimchi really hate KR warner release due to manufacturing defect )
second re-release is around 200 (now kimchi handle 70 or 80, kimchi order more due to special request)

so rarity is higher than bb+tdk white one (500 limited print run)

only BB not TDK, TDKR

but as I'm sure, if it has manufacturing defect like scratch or dent, Kimchi will not ship the order and cancel all pre-order,

That's the policy kimchi usually do for OCD collectors

Hm Easy to get? Dont think so.
300 in total isnt that much. And i dont need a damaged Steelbook of the first 100.
Iam happy with this :oohyeah:

Relative to the first release it's very easy to get. Right now it's still in stock at Kimchidvd, K-steelbook and at all 3 of the major Korean ebay dealers. The 300 quantity by the way is not confirmed.

I'm not saying the first release of it is more desirable - they're identical - but it was a heck of a lot harder to get than this re-issue.

One new one sold on eBay earlier today for £6.50 EEK!

I saw that. I was shocked but there's a few reason behind this I think. Firstly having auctions end near the end of the month when people are waiting for payday is always a no for me. Money's always tight for a lot of people at he end of the month.

Also they guy had the auction ending very early Saturday evening and put it up as Korean instead of Korea. Most people only search for 'korea steelbook' not Korean. I had a difficult time finding this when I was browsing. If he put it up to end on say 9pm on a Sunday it might have done better.

I wouldn't use this as a barometer of this steel.

Yeah, exactly! It's hard to think that it's really limited to less than 300 if it's still available.

Only the first print run was limited to 300 (and most of the copies were defective anyway). The second run was much bigger, and is still readily available.

So not rare at all really.
