One will still be upside down though won't it? Just the opposite way around.
Technically, yes. But it's really about having the spine aligned the right way.

You could just pick it up and reverse it on the shelf but the spine would be upsidedown then! It all depends which character you'd preferred displayed (properly) on the front. Down to personal preference I guess

Cool inside art replicating the covers.
Single spindle for the 3 discs should be just fine with no top disc coming loose and floating around inside the case as was widely reported with only 2 discs on a single spindle. Reports of the top disc coming loose during transit inside THE MIST for example were plentiful across the forums . . . The multiple disc spindle (IF that part of the mock-up is accurate) has been designed for 3 discs after all.

TBH schizophrenic reaction to this steelbook with first reaction = "Best thing since sliced bread" or "Two for the price of one" but tempered upon reflection to "Belated April Fool's Day joke?" and "A gimmick hopefully not to be repeated".

Surely someone with the skill to manipulate images can give us an accurate mock-up of what this will possibly look like ?
If it REALLY does look as reported (seriously!?) it cannot look like it does at the top of the thread with the spine title facing the same way around for both front artworks and the "WB" insignia should be upside down in one picture and not forgetting the different positions of the "Blu-ray/3D Blu-ray" logos.

Anyway, really looking forward to seeing in-hand pics of this steelbook and also of the slipcover/ j-card and as much as I like the chosen artwork - particularly when compared to the majority of the other dozen or so official poster images - but instead of this (with one image on each face) . . .

. . . I'd have gone for this . . . "Killing two birds with one stone" artwork:-

. . . with this on the back:-

. . . and one of these inside:-

Perhaps which one is on front is random, it could be that you will get either superman or batman as the front ( with the spine the correct way)

I love that this steelbook is released on my Birthday august the 1st, can make my girlfriend sit through the extended cut and she cant say a damn word about it xD
Ninja please, on my birthday I make my girlfriend sit through my extended and she cant say a damn word about it xD
And it will be longer than 181 minutes

care to explain ?

Almost every first release of a high profile title from Warner got disappointing artwork and finish.
If you like this artwork then surely you are in the minority. I mean, look at the inside artwork and the upside down artwork on the back. Absolutely no thought process involved whatsoever. I am sure there will be few re-releases sometime down the line with a better artwork at 1/3rd the price.

My biggest worry now is the finish. Something tells me NA will get Gloss Finish whilst ROTW blessed with a matte finish. Hoping for a full gloss finish on all editions.

According to Scanavo:-

"Batman v Superman - Dawn of Justice

For Batman v Superman: Dawn of the Justice Zack Snyder was concerned about every artistic detail. Therefore Warner Bros has chosen the artwork mindfully matching the stunning world of the film to their SteelBook® edition. Alike the movie, this SteeelBook® case is a piece of artwork: no rules of physics, everything you see is simply change of perspective.

Batman and Superman are sharing the artwork of this SteelBook® case, in an original up and down way, both on the outside and the inside artwork. The contrast in Batman’s dark costume and Superman’s red and blue costume is creating a visually intriguing design. This cool looking SteelBook® case is treated with a ZERO VARNISH, which creates an elegant POLISHED EFFECT.

Different editions for different countries – Batman v Superman has also been made in 3D, and comes also with extra material for different retailers or countries. Therefore it is available with one or two discs, depending on the retailer. The French ultimate version has French title treatment.”
