Looking at the pictures I presume it is as a matte finish wouldn't show any fingerprints!

I don't know, I class 2012 (the black ones) as matte and they are little buggers for fingerprints!

I'm hoping its glossy anyway, there are a few steels that have finishes that can't be classed as matte or glossy! Shutter Island from play had a mixed finish to it.
