Received my copy at the end of last week and, yes, as someone mentioned earlier .. . it's underwhelming in the flesh. . . although far better than the other two live action retreads (JUNGLE BOOK and CINDERELLA).

It seems that Disney doesn't need to give us the same quality steels of the past any more with some of these lesser quality jobbies still managing to sell out.

Anyway, better-looking with titles than without

and the inside art is up there among the best of any steelbook

On second inspection I find it works well and the effect on the front is more elegant than flashy. Perfect inside art and a dreamlike scene on the back it's an 8/10 steel in my book with the minor quibble being the thick window frame to the left of the bell jar reminding me a bit of those vertical bars seen when viewing a 4:3 film on a 16:9 TV.

Got my copy today. Maybe BB one is better but I'm happy with it anyway specially since my country edition has the awful spine faces and no title on the front

Wow, that's indeed a noticeable difference. Not only is the contrast much better on the right, it also seems to be more detailed, especially noticeable on the upper left corner, the weather or compass towertop or whatever that is.
I'm always disappointed when i see a contrastfull, colorpopping stockimage of a steelbook and once i have it in my hand, only to find out how bland or washed out it looks in person.

That one on right is BestBuy full gloss beauty.

Really noticable difference, BB totally wins with their full gloss steels lately
