I was thinking that myself. Especially the back. The quality of the pic looks like the back of 'The Shining' but with a bit of gloss on top!

Still, zavvi are trying. They're still not giving us the complete premium product (like what they did Who Framed Roger Rabbit many moons ago)

Absolutely. It's not a complete disaster, but they have just turned out an 'OK' steel, when it could have been AMAZING. But i've got it, i'm happy, it will still take up space in my collection - it's a wicked film after all.

Yep, it's definitely an improvement. Especially after the last wave. And I can't wait to get mine. Now, if they could just make the prices a bit more reasonable!

The low quality image on the back lets this one down a bit, but it's still a nice release. Really happy to have it in my collection.

Got mine today.
The finish on this is very nice, and happy with how it looks.

Unfortunately it came with a small dent on the top under the j-card.
First time in ages that I've received a steel from zavvi that hasn't been in perfect condition.

Interested to hear what other responses people get from Zavvi about whether they are going to be charged £19.99 or £14.99.

I just had a response from them which said, as per their T&C's, that prices are subject to change on a daily basis so as I ordered the item at £19.99 that is what I will be charged.

No major biggie for me as you pays your money and takes your chance but interested to hear what others receive as a response.

Zavvi in my bad books today anyway as received the Hobbit Extended Steelbook in a jiffy bag and has a big dent on the front

I had the same reply from Zavvi but I realised I had not mentioned the zavvi "Pre-Order Price Promise", so I wrote to them again mentioning that the promise states that if any pre order item drops in price before release it should be charged at the lower price.

Zavvi replied today that they would refund me the difference. So maybe persistence is required or mentioning it's a pre-order steelbook helps.

If Zavvi sent that steelbook in a jiffy bag it must be a big error in their packing, I'd seek a replacement or refund.

Looks like a very nice steelbook guys, one of zavvi's best for a while now looking at your photos. I will have to wait till next week for mine, I've got other deliveries to keep me busy till then.

Looking at mine, I think it's the same. That's the problem with so many steelbooks nowadays. All the latest Disney steelbooks have misaligned embossing too. I'm not going to return it for that though.

Yeah, thinking about it I'm not sure I can be bothered either. Still awaiting a response about a spine slashed Brave.

Thnx for all the pics ...disappointed to read about low rez artwork (again ).... Really dont know how scanvo continue to get away with such lazy attention to detail ...u can pull high res images off google!

Still lookin forward to getin mine ...probably mid week as i paid late with Mars Attacks

this to me is a perfect example of how gloss doesnt make a steelbook. regardless if it is glossed or not, the art just isnt strong enough on this release.

classic film and essential in a steelbook collection, but the art isnt really that great and the gloss doesnt add anything what so ever.

on the back it says one of the features is a 'cd soundtrack sampler' of the films score. pleasant surprise, i thought. but when i opened the package- no cd.

i suppose the sountrack is on the bluray disc. i think its misleading to describe as a soundtrack cd.
