Maybe i'm wrong but about the possible 2 versions for Birdman: there is never 2 versions announced but only a member who has launched the idea that there will be 2 versions because Carl said the print run was 2k + 1k. Nobody think that there is a high probability that there will 2k for the fulslip and 1k for a 1/4 slip as FA has already done for others titles (HG3, Commando)

Must have missed that 2nd version, where can I find more info in thread.

Karel has never let HDN down, members have received quality products and service before, so there is no need for such a restriction at this time.
On another forum Collector mentioned 2 versions one numbered one not numbered but not confirmed by Film Arena though.

why not just make it, pics must be shown before group buys
Because if Karel waited that long Film Arena would not be able to guarantee him the stock we wanted for group buys.
or at least let people change their minds on group buys.
this whole join group buys and cant back out stuff is ridiculous. its not very people friendly is it?
Karel has to commit to purchasing a specific amount of stock from them, and if you were able to back out he would still be charged for it and you'd be scr**ing him over.
That's not very friendly to him is it? Especially considering he doesn't charge anything for all the hard work he puts into organising these group buys for us.
i just find it ridiciulous that we arent allowed to change our minds whenever we feel like.
I find it ridiculous that you think you should be able to, for the reasons explained above.

fair enough :D

I wasn't trying to persuade you mate, although I do genuinely think this will sell out fairly soon, being as though it's currently the only steelbook out there for this film. I'm sure you won't be disappointed anyway! :)

Oh I know you wasn't trying to persuade me but I wanted it anyway. Then I looked on the GB and was already at 9 pages so I thought I don't want to miss out on this.

holly cow that was fast i was at the drs with the wife and just got home luckily i was able to grab a spot in the group buy at 286 already gone. i know he didn't list how many there will be but to be safe i wanted to be under his normal 299 limit.

why is there a group buy for only 1 version when 2 versions have been announced??

Group buys should NOT be allowed unless pics are shown before hand

this should be a simple rule of HDN
also isn't there a picture in this thread from film arena so there your picture. i think there are a few retailers out that that open up pre orders for things with one photo and then it changes later.

I agree that group buys should not be approved until certain things are confirmed for example package details or price unless there is an option to withdraw from the group buy. It may be that Karel has to run the group buys on Film Arena's terms but it doesn't make it right.

True. GBs are a privilege, not a right.
Tip your GB hosts well, ninjas!:D

It is true but there are some who benefit from these group buys in another way, namely Film Arena and HDN, therefore there should be some obligation to make group buys as favourable to members as possible.

The difference is with most retailers you can cancel your order if you change your mind.
