It´s like I see good ool´ @lgans316 back then when he left this hobby

It´s always managable to stay when you set your priorities. Of course If you must have all the oneclicks it will cost you fortune. I just collect movies I really like now (which are mostly catalog titles plus some new ones, but I just don´t like most of today´s mainstream production enough to buy those even in single naked steelbooks. No matter how nice these editions are, WEeT can try hard as they want with their slips and finishes etc. but no way Im buying this film which I would never watch again for sure.

Just sayin´ , mean no offense here :) :coffee:

Thanks mate.

It was overwhelming for me to continue this time consuming hobby. It drove me mad and caused loads of personal issues back at home. Feels very relieved to have stopped collecting since Jan 2018 but still got many Steels unsold even at throwaway prices.

I still have a soft spot for Steels and collectible packaging but the amount of releases these days means it is extremely difficult to buy everything and make room for them in our tiny houses in UK / Europe.

AM often trimming fat off my collection for this reason....trying to keep my collection around the 300 steel mark seems reasonable for me when’s you consider Disney/Pixar account for 50 alone not counting other subsets is Marvel, Tarentino, Kevin Smith (only two steels there as most are ameray) but you get the point.

I just moved into a terrace house, and luckily there is a small spare bed room so most of my media will get stored in there.

Couldn’t ever imagine stopping though. I’m persistently reigning in and trimming down(have a rule about getting rid of movies not watched within the last 18months ish, Disney/Marvel being the only exceptions) however even my Disney classics are on hold as I refuse to buy Wreck it Ralph 2 if there is no 3D option. I’d rather borrow a copy or go the illegal route if am desperate enough to see it again(which am not).

Am also considering if i’ll continue collecting Marvek phase 4 onward...we’ll see but again 3D is the deal breaker for me, then it’s how often I watch movies - no point owning things just to own them(as a collector it hurts to say that) but it’s so easy to get carried away also.

So long as you are happy with your choice and maybe just keep a select few titles that are your absolute faves would be a happy compromise
