Singapore is a very tightly run, least corrupt country in the world, though that doesn't guarantee, of course, these aren't a scam.Look into this company.. they seem, errm, suspect. I'd be inclined to say this may be fake. When have you ever heard of physical media from that region either? That's more sweat shop and knockoff territory.
They're essentially an inactive company, with no presence, who suddenly have a contract with sony and have pulled one of their biggest titles, plus secured an official supply from scanavo? It just all smells funny to me
I can't say I'm overly familiar with the are, so I'll take your word for it, but this just seems fishy. The sony image is essentially manta's with their logo pasted in, the bulk of of text about the content of the release is a straight drag/drop from Manta too.Singapore is a very tightly run, least corrupt country in the world, though that doesn't guarantee, of course, these aren't a scam.

That's true r.e manta, and I can't say I can remember exactly how they came about initially, but I'd be surprised if it were straight out of the gate with such little presence as these guys.Once upon a time who were Manta Lab? First premium retailer out of Hong Kong who out of nowhere got a deal with WB and released Man of Steel. These companies got to start somewhere
You might be right though and they are dodgy and this is a bootleg product that'll get shut down once more people are aware of it just need to wait and see

Okay, fair point. It's just a very sus way to kick start something in 2025 imo. So I'll remain sceptical until we see something solid, then I'll happily eat my words and buy it anyway, as it is BR2049 afterallNo it literally was
Back then though it wasn't as much of a talking point as this is as we're referring to a time when the likes of Kimchi and Novamedia were only a few of years old themselves (in terms of producing their own releases at least)
Obviously now we live in a time where we've seen so many bootleg startups that any new kid on the block is going to be met with suspicion

The other site announced last week that a new company was about to launch with their first release and they're partnering with them for GBs so I think they're legit.Look into this company.. they seem, errm, suspect. I mean, it's always good for the customers to have some competition in the market.I don't think we need another premium retailer

Well the owner of Manta was involved with another premium steelbook retailer that we all know very well and went on to form Manta. So he knew what he was doing, how it worked and had seen this world of steelbook collecting firsthand through that other retailer. At least back then you could trust that physical media was officially distributed in most parts of the world, plus, China was widely known for manufacturing and media. Singapore? Hmm.
There we are then, that's a bit of a different scenario, and explains how they lifted off. Not quite comparable to a complete fresh face, which we can all but assume this is without further info. I'll remain sceptical for a while yet.Well the owner of Manta was involved with another premium steelbook retailer that we all know very well and went on to form Manta.
