Japan is better IMO. I like to keep mine sealed so the Japan version is the best one IMO. Korea version is actually a nicer looking steelbook than all of them when naked.

Yeah, they all have inside art, and are 1 disc editions.

They have different finishes to the steelbook than the japanese versions that exist, for example Seven, Blade Runner and Matrix.

imo, the Japan finish is the preferred. You can tell the difference when you hold them up to the light. The characters on the UK releases seem to turn metal whereas Japan titles dont. But for a small faction of the price, you get what you pay for. I'm still happy with mine.

No doubt I prefer the cleaner look of the JP ones when sealed. I always like to see as much of the steel as possible!

I actually prefer that there's a slight sheen on them, it looks more appealing to my eyes than the flat finish on the Jp ones.

Why do you say that? Is it because you don't like the shrink wrap and the J-Card on the UK release?

Absolutely. I keep mine sealed for display. The Japan one smokes this one because the ugly j-card. Now if you want to go the unsealed route the Korean version smokes them all. That's just a fact dude.

Who in their right mind decided to put these inverted swoosh on the top of the steelbook is beyond me. Doesn't anyone remember Green Lantern U.K. ?

Nothing compares to Japanese steelbooks when it comes to quality. You cannot compare the UK one to the Japanese one. They are the Rolls Royce of steelbooks. :scat:

I love Korean steels too. Have both of them and not a chance I'm buying the UK one.

I also like the fact that the JP ones has a bigger image of Decker whereas this one has his whole head in it.

No way, it is exactly the same, why don't you open it? Maybe the shrink wrap makes it have that bling effect.

DO you even have the Korean version? I have a whole rack full of them. They all have the bare metal effect. You are absolutely 100% wrong on this. They are not the same.

Well I got mine today in perfect condition (thanks Play.com).

Whether it's better or worse than other versions I don't know, and personally I don't care. What I will say is I like it, it looks very nice on the shelf. Generally I prefer the original poster art for Blade Runner, but as poster art is quite rare these days on DVD and Blu-ray packaging I'm happy with this one (I know the Canadian one offers technically what I want). The only think I might not have done is put the black glow/shadow around the title.

Oh, and I'm so sad I actually used a CD marker to cover over the [disc] 1 as it's not a 2-disc set.
