I've seen the film countless times and I don't remember Wallace wearing a hat like that?

If he does, it must be only for a few seconds. WTF?
He does in this scene and a few others
You see him wearing the helmet in the film from Chapter 15/23 on the Blu-ray
William Wallace Leather Helmet you can even purchase a replica from some websites

I can say I like the back, not sure about the front. But this film is finally getting a premium treatment yaaay!

Plus I like XL slips, but I was hoping BB line will stay with the slim fullslips. I guess that doesnt matter since Red Sparrow will break that continuity and now we can expect different slips.

Strange headgear - looking more Arabic than Celtic . . . don't remember seeing it in the film but then again it's been a while since watched . . . does kinda go well with what he's wearing in the posters though.

More used to seeing him sans helmet and flowing locks as here in these surely better images for the slip front:-
Thor mjolnir style ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ epic battle style -------------------------------------------------- without the battle and the canoodling -----

RE: HELMET - pics appear to have been sourced from the 'Making of' documentary released a few years ago to mark the 20th Anniversary of the film's production . . .

. . . and is/was officially licenced and sold as a BRAVEHEART film prop . . . seems foolhardy to say the least going into battle with just a leather helmet though no matter how hardened the leather may be.
"This Leather Helmet of William Wallace was designed from the screen worn costume in the movie Braveheart. This full suede laced helmet is designed from the screen worn prop. The soft polyurethane shell fits up to a size 7 1/2" hat size".

Subject to change, so I can see them changing the front cover after all the love :p

change it to what, tho? its not like they ever came up with some great, unique artwork :-/ they might change the helmet or smth lol
I don't know, I'm not the one crying murder lol. I don't love the cover either, but it's good enough, they could change it to a more iconic image, they could have done that from the start but decided to go with something new and fresh.
I do like the back  Maybe more of Ms. Marceau on the front? :hungry:

OK, helmet art TBC - but certainly "new and fresh" - unique even . . . nothing like it on any of the posters or home video release covers (that I've seen).
Will go just fine w/ the colours (spine too) of the recent WWA steelbook . . . BUT get rid of the clean cut guys in the background as they look totally incongruous:-

And replace them with what? Whiteness? Please no... that would be worse.
No. not what I was thinking . . . no whiteness just greenness . . . single front image also balances better the back artwork.

If Mel has to have company at least make them look like bona fide warriors as seen below - i.e. ragged, unwashed, tousled hair, war painted etc.
