Breaking Bad Steelbooks? Cost?! Artwork!?

Howdy Y’All,

The Breaking Bad artwork seems a little… “Out there”.

Plus at £20 each, £120 for the set, when I think the OilDrum collectors edition was circa that price…

Then you can get the boxset for £39.99 off Zavvi too…

It just seems a little rich…

I see that a few of the seasons are showing live… some are “Out of Stock”, whether that’s “Yet-To-Go-Live” or not.

Anyone else care to weigh in with their though process?

Yes, they would look nice and id always take 6 separate steels over a box set any day…

But £120. Jeepers.

personally i would have loved these but the artwork like you said is"out there" and i for one definetly won't be buying them. i buy steel books for the look of the shell not just the movie. So I'm going to hold out for hopefully something better.

When there is custom art commissioned there is always extra cost involved thus we feel it. ie. Steadman isn't free.

If you dont like the art look at it this way .... the studio is fine with doing SteelBook for this title so that is good news. So there is that potential you get regular art for the show in SteelBook once this stock is sold out. Dependent upon studios tho sometimes they dont like to do the release again for quite some time. So the bad news is it might be a couple years after this that you see BB in steel again.
