Quote from lulwut: What makes you think that? Drive's HMV Exclusive sold out quickly, and this is another film with a cult-like following.

Dunno, just a feeling? Yes it is gaining a cult status but from the views on here and Amazon etc.. This is a very Marmite film. I really liked it for what it was, just trying to cut back a bit at the moment. I have a voucher to use up so might pick it up instore if I like the finished artwork. Now I have seen the US artwork I have a feeling they will go with the other image on the lenticular sleeve for the back art, would mirror the design of Liongate's other recent release Hunger Games

I had this on preorder as a blind buy, but curiosity got the better of me and I watched a copy *cough* from a friend.. once Id seen it, went to my HMV orders and cancelled it...£16 saved and bullet dodged.

Its not a bad film, just not a great film...Id pay a fiver for it in a few months time but I aint paying £16 for a steelbook copy...

I ordered a couple and was going to cancel one and get the amaray with lenticular slip cover, but HMV was quicker than me, and shipped out both of my copies!

Not sure what Marmite is (some sort of English spread?) but if it means you love it or hate it, that's a defining attribute of a cult film. It's not a film everybody loves. In fact, a lot of cult followings are for films that most people hated.

Marmite, is some sort of English spread, it means you love it or hate it,

I've paraphrased you, but you are spot on. As a side note, in Austrailia they have vegimite, which tastes like death!

I thouroughly enjoyed Cabin in the woods. I can see why people would hate it though. I knew nothing about it before watching. My wife even liked it, which suprised me. This and Dale & tucker vs Evil are 2 of the most refreshing US films I've seen this year.

Exactly what I think, Tucker Vs Dale was really good, I think that shook up the horror genre as much as Cabin in The Woods!
Just got my shipping confirmation on this!:)
