It looks like Zavvi have 'found' a lot of old stock of Lionsgate and StudioCanal releases.

So would this be the same as the HMV release? Or a new version?

yeah they contacted some studios to see if they ever had any buffer stock. They should have about 250 of this incoming.

my copy originally came from hmv with the faulty disc but was replaced. will be interesting to see which disc arrives for people who pick this up from zavvi..... potentially another reason for returning steelbooks to zavvi along with damage due to shoddy packaging!!

Still, my CITW was bought on eBay and has a few marks so now can replace it for less than £20 which it most certainly can't be bought on eBay for

Leftover stock from HMV?

I don't understand. Why are Zavvi selling it? Should it not be HMV themselves selling it off? It's not like they've gone out of business or anything.

You'd never see a Zavvi Exclusive in a HMV? How do Zavvi do this?

When HMV went broke earlier this year they shut down half their shops. I guess instead of transferring the stock to the remaining stores they sold it on to companies like Zavvi. Play did the same, sold stock to Entertainment Store etc

Let's just hope they replace the wrappings on all of the HMV steels - I got picked up a few from HMV oxford street (Expendables, MiB3 ect) before they closed and they all looked liked rats had been crewing on them

It's one of 2 things;
1-HMV have stock left over from store closures and can't return it to the supplier-so they sell on to a third party-HMV did the same when Fopp went under and bought a warehouse of their stock from the administrators
2-HMV have returned the stock to the supplier (I would imagine Play.com did this with any steels they had over when they downsized) & the supplier has sold on to Zavvi

capitalism rules!!!

Good business for zavvi then, I think they will gain profit cos a lot of people will buy at this price of 24,79 euro. This steelbook has been on top of my wishlist for a long time and now it seems patience has its reward, I prefer to give my money to zavvi rather than to those scalpers in the woods of ebay.
