I would say that the rating logos are removable. Lionsgate just released The Hunger Games which had a similar mock-up, but the ratings were on a wraparound card. I expect this to be the same.

I thought I remember reading on the Hunger Games UK thread that HMV is printing the ratings on the J Card for all 15 and up rated films? What is the rating of the film? According to Amazon it's 15 but HMV doesn't list it.

I don't think that's the case at all, it's entirely up to the studio and has nothing to do with the age rating itself or HMV. The only studios that printed logos on their last release was Disney (War Horse) and Second Sight (Return of the Living Dead). All other studios either use stickers or print it on the backing card. I'm hoping that with the release of The Avengers, Disney will finally start releasing some good Steelbooks in the UK.

As for this Steelbook, i'm 99.9% sure that the ratings won't be printed.

looking at the picture i would think they are not removable, usually the 2 ratings are together when they are a sticker

you can never tell from the pics. Look at the Hunger Games that just was released from HMV the pic shows separate logos, but the release didn't have any printed on it. :scat:

Decided to order this as I've realized I'm not in the country so I cannot see about the ratings logos. Pity as I wanted to use my £20 Pure credit in store.

Nevermind, I'm sure something else will come out!

Just cancelled this. Was really looking forward to seeing what all the fuss was about, but i just cant justify £17 on a steelbook this month, or next month for that matter! Not until this overtime comes through anyway

Yeah it was, I don't know why people are raving about it.

For me personally, I thought it was a creative and clever satire of the horror genre. It's loaded with references to other horror movies and also thought it was pretty funny. It's obviously not to be taken as a serious horror film, (not saying you took it as such) but a lot of people are calling it stupid and ragging on it because of how crazy it goes in the third act. There's a lot to love in it for horror fans in my opinion, picking up on the references was one of the most enjoyable things for me, and that's one of the reasons I really liked it. That's just my opinion though :)

The Whiteboard with all the names on it was pretty cool and made me wonder how the characters would have fared against other monsters lol

Almost a week away from release and we still dont have any clear cut artwork/photos? Very interested in this steel but dont want to pay an arm and leg. Is this release more on the limited side? I am not really familiar with HMV releases.

Thanks

HMV releases can sell out but it depends on the titile. Some don't take long but others are around for months. It depends on the print run and the popularity, I can't imagine this Steelbook will sell out anytime soon but that's just a guess on my part!
