Well guys the worrying thing about this release is I have the rental version on the player now and there is only LOSSY DD 5.1 audio no lossless. The dts mstr audio 7.1 is nowhere to be seen on the uk release that is on the US release.

I hope that's not the case but it won't be the first time this has happened. I just watched the film, I thought it was good. I'm not sure it was as good as I had been hearing but it was definitely a nice take on the horror genre.

I've not watched it yet will do later, but I carnt see the disc been any different, for me he lossy audio is a big dissapointment. May have to get the US version instead.

Yep it's a shame, You should be able to hear movies at there best. I don't think any new release Blu-rays should be released with Lossy audio, especially when there is already disc with a Lossless track available.

yep, i'm with the hater. One of the worst movie that I have seen. It was like all the horror characters meet Hunger Games :hilarious: Don't ya love the hilarious ending? I was expecting a horror movie, not a wth type of movie :hilarious:

They should have called it THE HORROR GAMES..

just my opinion :)

Yeah it was, I don't know why people are raving about it.

They should have called it THE HORROR GAMES...seriously..

just my opinion :)

It's not a standard horror movie by any means... which is the beauty of it.
It pokes fun at the long list of horror movie cliches that have long since made the genre stale. Then it goes and actually gives an explanation as to why those cliches are there. Sure, it does it very tongue-in-cheek but that is what makes it refreshing. It never takes itself too seriously.

The movie has Joss Whedons fingerprints all over it and I loved that about it. :D

Very tempted to quickly cancel my order now... I've gone from hearing nothing but good things about the film, to hearing nothing but bad things about it Horror isn't something I'm usually that keen on either, so I should probably just go with my gut feeling for once!

rent it first. I'm not a big horror fan and I loved it. I really like Joss Whedon's work though.

I agree, there is a little horror but nothing too shocking. I guess it's part thriller part horror! Hard to really describe what it is until you have seen it!

I've cancelled mine and watching the rental tonight. Also I wouldn't by the uk version now anyway as lossy audio in this day and age on Blu ray just isn't excusable.

After watching the first half of this film I thought it was going to be like those run of the mill late 90s teen horror films but it definitely wasn't. I really liked this film. The twist was very good. I would liken this film to Tarantino's From Dusk Till Dawn in the way the 'twist' happens.

Will be pissed if it doesn't have lossless audio.

I wish companies would release specs on discs like they used too!!

Yeah it would be nice. Probably thought, "hey we'd lose a lot of pre-orders if we told the people that we are putting a lossy track on it" :(

Hopefully its just the rental version thats lossy. Maybe? Perhaps. Or clutching at straws

Just cancelled this, mainly for money reasons, can't imagine it going OOP anytime soon (famous last words), so will pick it up eventually. Hoping someone will have an open copy in their local store and can post pics?

Hope those who haven't seen it enjoy it as much as us who loved it. Saying it's too cliched can't be a serious criticism of this film though lol

I've just finished watching it all I could think all the way through is that it is extremely weird. Enjoyed it yes but didn't think it was brilliant.
