Well guys the worrying thing about this release is I have the rental version on the player now and there is only LOSSY DD 5.1 audio no lossless. The dts mstr audio 7.1 is nowhere to be seen on the uk release that is on the US release.

Just curious, how were you able to rent it if it's not released yet? Hopefully the non rental version will have lossless audio.

Its going to cost me £16 to buy on aamray or I can get the steelbook now for the same price.

Or I can wait like 3-4 months until the price drops to £10 and then buy it on aamray.

Or I can rent it from my local blockbuster which we all know is a rip off always.

So what do I do ?

I think I'm gonna order this, not just for the steel case, its because I cannot be bothered to wait ages for the price to drop on the aamray. And if I feel the film is shite it be up my trades list the next day

Even the amaray isn't worth. I'm serious ... I wouldn't give 4/10 for this movie.

But the movie itself is awesome. It's a horror/comedy, and I don't think some people get what they were trying to accomplish. A horror movie, that remains a horror movie, while satirizing the entire horror genre as we know it.

People criticize each and every horror movie that comes out because they aren't scary and/or are just like the rest. This movie doesn't follow the horror template. It's creative and over the top, and I loved every minute of it.

I am in the same boat as you! I want this steel but come on we dont even know what the steel officially looks like! I actually have not seen the film but can get it for $17 via Best Buy today! I'll check it out and go from there....From all my close movie buddies I have heard great things about it though. Hmmmm

I decided to get the US release as well as the steel, mainly because of the cool lenticular slip, but also because I had a feeling the UK wouldn't get 7.1 audio.

Just cancelled this, mainly for money reasons, can't imagine it going OOP anytime soon (famous last words), so will pick it up eventually. Hoping someone will have an open copy in their local store and can post pics?

What makes you think that? Drive's HMV Exclusive sold out quickly, and this is another film with a cult-like following.

I wouldn't even put this into the horror genre to be honest, there's no scares or anything to be had in it, it's all to cliched at the end of the day.

You and rodtp have made your points before, you hated the film. So why are you still here?

Maybe it helps to have an appreciate for or knowledge of horror movie tropes, or satire in general.

I ordered my HMV copy and I was going to wait till I got the sb to watch it but I couldn't wait so I went to rented today and ................I had to cancel my copy as soon as the movie was over. Maybe I'm on the minory but I didn't think it was good. Very dissapointed after hearing people saying that it was of the best movies of the year. Not to me.

I'm still going to pick this up, while i didn't think the movie was as good as all the hype it was still very good. I think the steelbook could be very nice!
