Titles are not necessarily "official" worldwide. Example: La Femme Nikita is just "Nikita" in France (and is the original title). Throughout the history of film, there have been many films that had different titles in different regions.

That was one of the most bizzare things I had ever seen! And...Ghostbusters did a similar move when they amended that title to Ghostbusters: Answer the Call on video.

"All You Need Is Kill" just sounds like a ridiculously bad translation of Japanese to English, much like "all your base are belong to us." Is that not the case? If so, why would any native English speaker want that title on anything?

And I've always assumed that Warner de-emphasized the "Edge of Tomorrow" title on most of their marketing materials because it sounds both forgettably generic and just like a daytime soap opera (Days of Our Lives, Edge of Night, As the World Turns, Search for Tomorrow, etc.).

Seriously? If Warner Bro. was so anal about the word KILL being in the title what happened with the movie The Killing Fields? I don't believe they had an issue with the word KILL. I do believe it is a copyright issue depending on what region it's in though.
Except THE KILLING FIELDS was released in 1984 - A time before Politically Correct culture made everybody scared of everything.

I love that title! I have both the Japanese Steelbook and Amaray of it.
...and - All your base ARE belong to us! o_O:LOL:

Who cares what it's called? It has this.

I think the title "All You Need Is Kill" sounds great! It's got a real edge to it and just goes BANG in ya face! It forces your brain to slam the brakes on whilst shouting WHAAAA!! Like doing an emergency stop on your driving test!
So yeah I kinda like it! :joy:

There is a sequel been confirmed to happen with the story been a mix of a sequel and prequel
What title will they use I wonder
Edge of yesterday :giggle::rofl:

I find it a bit lame the excuse for not wanting title having Kill in the title there has been lots of films with Kill in the title made in 60's/70's/80's/90' and in 2000's even in the same years the film was made 2012-2013 and later years
Warner changed the title in 2013 a year before cinema release in 2014

They simply did not know what to call it as can be seen by later changes to DVD/Blu-ray release in USA

The title Edge of Tomorrow worked in Europe/Asia as there is where it was most box office success was

:LOL: I don't deny that it's an amusing title, and it's definitely more memorable than "Edge of Tomorrow." But personally I wouldn't want it on anything other than a Japanese release. Warner just should have come up with a better title (with no outrageous grammar errors, of course :)).

pretty nice custom @Apollon :O

I was a bit disappointed about the announcement of Kingsman.. the film was okay, but imo not good enough for a premium steel..

edge of tomorrow is an improvement :)

still hoping for my all-time fav pulp fiction :D

There is nothing to be disappointed about, it's not like a retailer has to release every single title that you may like. There will always be some titles that we may not fancy(and that goes for every retailer doing Premium Editions)

''Kingsman'' is worthy of all the Premium Releases it has received until now. You may have found the film to be ''okay'' but it was one of the best Action/Comedy movie of 2015. This is now an older Title(as Edge of Tomorrow is also), so this new Premium Edition from mantalab for Kingsman may be very interesting to those who missed on all previous premium editions...and the complicit collector.

Both Kingsman and ''Edge of Tomorrow'' will be welcomed as new Premium Editions.

Completely agree with you. :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:
I missed both so I'm very happy to grab both films. The same goes with re-releases from Zavvy's Disney ones, Django Unchained and Novamedia's Kill Bill I & II. I really would love to see Manta releasing a Ex-Machina Premium.

Of course there will be always some titles I wont like.
Films are art and art is something very individual. That's why I wrote "in my opinion".
I am not so puffed up to think that my opinion would be the measure of all things.

Nevertheless I can say that I am (personally) disappointed with that choice.
Especially because there are so many better rated movies which arent released as a premium steelbook yet.

My motto would be: from the top to the bottom, not the other way around. (And yes, I know Kingsman is surely not the bottom). Obviously there will be people who think that the choice is fantastic.

All in all: these are just my two cents :)

I will buy it anyway. On the one hand because I like a complete collection, on the other hand because I like the artwork so far and I want to support such a great retailer like Manta Lab :D
