Still no artwork :S

Guess there's still just under 2 months to go. I'm glad it's coming out on BR finally in the UK, I just wish the steelbook wasn't so expensive...saying that, StudioCanal's recent steelbook for Leon looked exceptional, so this being a more adored film personally I will have to go for it.

Have a feeling it will be £17.99-£19.99 at HMV, in which case I might get it from there (if I still have discount).

I'll keep an eye out for the art, compare it to the digi, and then decide whether to get either. The movie is a classic in its own right. Thanks for the head's up. Love HDN for that.

The USA 30th Anniversary digibook release reviews were
Extras Theatrical Trailer that's it
Video Quality very good

The previous DVD UK release had good extras
Omnibus: The Killing Fields documentary (54 mins)
David Puttnam On 'The Killing Fields interview (48 mins)
If the UK Steelbook does not have these extras
It will be no purchase

Looks like this has been put back to June 16th, :( on the up side at least it's 1 less in March.

True...though my next 'busiest' month is June anyway (The Rocket, Black Narcissus, Harold & Maude, The 'Burbs) so it doesn't really free anything up! Why they hold back on this one? Kinda annoying...

Good! I just want the film really - much like Vanishing Point it was a little frustrating it was gonna be steelbook only. I was gonna cancel as £13.99 is a bit high for a catalogue title (for me anyway) that's eventually gonna get an amaray release anyway. Glad it's finally getting a release and hope the price drops!

It is now live again for pre-order at £12-99 on Zavvi's site.they have deleted the 'Steelbook' from the description.
Release date now shown as 3rd November - not bad considering we started out at 31st March :)

I've had mine on order since January at just £10-99 with a nice discount code applied. If we get it in less than a year I think we'll be doing well, but hacked off it won't be steel.

Given Zavvi's ongoing arrangement with Studio Canal, I'm surprised that they haven't picked this title up as one of their exclusive Steelbooks. It's a superb film and far superior to some of the dross they've honoured with a Steelbook release of late.

When my Amazon order was cancelled, I purchased the US Digibook which is, unfortunately, light on extras. So, if this were to get a UK Steelbook release, I'd seriously consider a double dip, provided Zavvi doesn't f*** up the artwork!

The Killing Fields SteelBook was cancelled by the distributor at the beginning of the year, and it was stated that they would only be releasing the standard Amaray version. They made announcements about it via Twitter and everything
