from the pictures , i'd say as dolomarite that it seems to me like a satin finish( like the non glossy part of the first thor release)wich i believe is a zero finish

- The lenticular depth is deep. Best Blufans lenticular since MU, but MU beats it for having many more layers.
- The front is embossed, while the star on the back is debossed.
- The finish is like a satin matte finish. I'm wondering if its the zero finish, which I haven't seen before. I don't see it being glossed then another matte layer on top. It has a smooth feel to it but it does make the colours look dull. Unfortunately it has to be repeated again, gloss would have been so much better.
- The postcards are like the IM postcards. They have a metallic finish to them.

Think this is going to be the most popular of all the Captain America releases, looks GREAT! (I'm still baffled why the Zavvi release sells for more than the far superior HMV release )

Where did you see this? Lol, maybe I'll get a bargain on that UK HMV version cos I'm yet to see a good price on a brand new one. There's really no exact science to the art of collecting, people would get what they want and sometimes what can be highly collectible could be baffling, but there are some definite sure bets (e.g. BLUFANS).

It looks like Scanavo has a satin finish option. But it doesn't have any description.

See it on eBAY constantly... HMV Cap'n sells for around £30-35 whereas Zavvi version sells for around £40-45

Which ones rarer? I just scored the 1/4 slip version off eBay for $100 usd shipped. I see many listings for the lenticular, but just 1 for the 1/4 slip that I got. Is it safe to say that the 1/4 is way rarer?

i don't know for the others and if you include me in it, but in case i 'd reply it 's not the case for me , i recognize easilly it would have been better spot gloss and even better fully glossy(IMO at least) i love glossy
but i 'm all the same glad /more happy with a satin finish (or someting like that) than a basic matte one (like wall e "lol" )

There's no point imagining mate, it's already a done deal and so far the masses are in favor of this awesome release
We know it'd been better if it were glossy
That being said, I'm very satisfied with this release from the detailed photos I've seen
Now what we hope is that Blufans has learnt a good lesson and will be carrying their business to Scanavo Denmark directly
I also hope that when an agreement is done, a sample should be sent and inspected thoroughly by multiple people within Blufans (not just Abu and a couple of others, but also some highly analytical collectors), so that silly mistakes can be rectified b4 print runs are done.

No one is saying they are satisfied with the finish. If you read my post correctly, instead of blindly criticising every Asian steelbook release, I actually said it should have been gloss. And a reminder this release was never announced to have a gloss finish.

I was only mentioning what I think the finish is because it was said on another forum the finishing was a layer of gloss and then a matte layer on top.

Having this release in hand I can't see it being that type of finish. It looks like a satin type finish, which Scanavo has as an option.
