A few months ago, I asked whether this one would be cancelled because of Disney taking over old Marvel distribution rights from Paramount.
Cancelling now seems out of question, yet in the USA, Captain America, Iron Man & Thor will be re-released by Buena Vista in the USA, and not long after, in Italy. So it means that all Marvel/Paramount rights are reverting to Disney in Europe.
So do you think the steelbooks of Captain America & Thor will be distributed by Disney, and not Marvel for those Zavvi releases?

Good question, but the spine seems to indicate the Paramount and Marvel logos like the originals as well as Iron Man 3's spine.
Assuming they're a Paramount release, they'll be of good quality.

I think it will still be distributed by paramount as I'm sure I read that part of that deal stated That any film scheduled for blu ray release when disney got the rights will still be released by paramount so thor and captain America will be the last from paramount I think, an even biger question is will Disney re release another steelbook of CA and thor next year.

The fact so many people are chipping in their two penneth worth shows that the current artwork is a contencious matter. i've ordered as i don't already own it, like the movie, would like the steel treatment.... but yeah, the current Zavvi art is LAZY.

I'm no expert, but I think the existing Zavvi art layout looks quite nice.
Sure, things could always be better, but FWIW I think this looks fine and will definitely pick it up.

Now, if you want LAZY, head on over to the Zavvi Monster University thread!! :ohno:

I posted something similar in the Thor thread, but since it's a related matter, it might interest some people here. It's now official: Disney will take over DVD and blu-ray distribution rights for previous Marvel/Paramount titles on the 7th of october in the UK. As appears on the English version of Amazon, Iron Man - Iron Man 2 - Thor & Captain America will be re-released on DVD, blu-ray and 3D blu-ray by Disney in the UK, so maybe the Zavvi steelbooks will be releases from the Mouse House, and not Paramount, since they will come out after the 7th of october.

Will defiently be paramount as they were in production before the rights went to Disney, part of the deal states that anyting in production will still go ahead hence why the cover art seems rushed.

On its way :D
Shame this wasnt Amazon they at least send all your stuff together, now theres three separate parcels going to the same destination.
Doesnt make a lot of sense

Did wonder this myself, I had 4 dispatch emails today from them at different times. Makes far more sense and time to send one email and batch them in one larger box!

They packed my hellboy, ghostbusters and evil dead in one box when they were released a while back. But that's the one and only time, and mind you there was no bubble wrap between them so were probably better off having them individually packed.
