Agreed. I think the interior artwork for both Cap and Thor are probably the only redeeming quality about these releases.

How about a hyper glossy finish with the shield embossed on the front cover and the star embossed on the back cover? That would be delicious

It certainly would. I can't imagine Zavvi changing it up that much, but even if they removed the pictures from the rear and just had the star alone I would be happy. Maybe we need a feedback thread for this since so many are unhappy..hmm.

I am not unhappy. It makes the original artwork more sought after. Also this issuance reduces the chances of there being a reprint of the original artwork.

I don't know if anyone else has, but I just sent a long feedback e-mail off to Zavvi about the rear artwork of both of these releases. Might be worth a try, it's worked before and will surely work again

It looks like they reversed the front and back artwork of the original release then added a few characters from the movie

the resident artists here at HDN have better ideas

The back art and spine are the best thing this steel has going for it. With that being said the original is only going to get more expensive.

Did you expect them to make an effort? Firstly Wreck has already said that they would use artwork previously used on amaray's.
And lastly they know it will sell almost no matter what.

The art department are pretty useless these days. Back in the day they had true artists such as Drew Struzan making their poster artwork but today they just photoshop to very quickly throw together some press photo's and the title of the movie. The few times they actually put out some great artwork they almost never use it when it's released on DVD and Blu-Ray.
Such a shame...
