I really admire what Blufans did, rather than just do the same thing, they opted to have an embossed Captain, quite brilliant. Now the wait in on to see how it looks in-hand, that'll be the true way to judge it. I do agree that full gloss should have been done though.

I agree with you, a spot gloss would make this CA2 Blufans a perfect release

@harry while I like that artwork, I feel like we already have a picture of him standing still as the main steelbook artwork I would like a more dynamic picture for the lenticular.

It's in Disney/BF's hands now...

That image has been used (with helmet on) for the Korean Amaray slip....

It's embossed and glossy and one of my favourite slips....

1/4 slips look better in-hand. The text is embossed and metallic. Still a bit plain and not as nice as others.

CA2 is a let down. Looks exactly like the WWA but with a different embossing. Haven't opened it but looks like streaky matte.

Gotta admit that I'm in aaaaahhhh when lookin at CA1, but CA2 seems like exactly (or almost) as the WWA. Blufans rarely has done that...

Oh well... we cannot win every battles...

Thanks for the pics, @domalorite ! CA2 quarter slip is the first ever BF release that felt like a big let down for me.

Matte finished that seemed streaky (based from the pic). I guess since its a BF release, was expecting a bit more. But as @Drum18 said, you can't win 'Em all! Hoping for a kickass lenti to atleast salvage this release.

Kevin @BR has confirmed the finishing layer of CA and CA2 Blufans are a mixture between glossy and matte, hopefully that's true not just a streaky matte

I have just learnt the matte finish here is unlike the traditional matte finish we used to see. For the Blufans CA1 and CA 2 releases, what you are seeing is the new matte finish in use that is to apply a glossy paint first then matte paint at the end. That is why the final product looks bit shinny and glossy.

Yeah we heard all that but Cap 1 in hand is actually plain old boring matte.
