Wait until the morning of release then order for In-store pick up. Then when you go, see of they have any mint copies laying out to sift through. If they don't then you have a back up plan at customer service waiting for you. This is what I use to do at best buy when they released more steelbooks sometime ago

The best way is to be there by opening, or as early as possible. I've done it the way you mentioned before, which is the next best option but if it's a popular title, there aren't many copies left on the shelf by 5pm. I don't think this is going to be too too popular but I could be wrong.

Usually becomes available on release date as I believe stores cannot make it available until they know how much stock they have.
