I still think the imagery on this is good.
If you have seen the film, it all makes sense.
So many people saying bad things yet people think the Rush Steelbook is amazing!!!

Got mine today too, I like the artwork its different (for me in a good way).
I have a question it say's mastered in 4K so does this work on a 4K Ultra HD TV ? Sorry if this has been mentioned earlier in the thread.

The movie has been remastered in 4k before being downsampled to 1080p and burned onto the blu ray. Deep color will be available on select sony and Panasonic Blu-ray Disc players

I'd recommend watching on a PS4 - best blu ray player I've ever seen / owned!
From my understanding its not even as good as the PS3. There are many other Blu-ray players out there that are much better.
I have a ps3 and ps4 and IMO they are the worst ones in my house for playing blu-rays.
No way, I also have both and was blown away at how good the PS4 was in comparison! Can't wait to see this film on it!
Here is the inside of my copy. I liked how Tom's face is framed by the bullet magazine clip and barrel of the AK47 with the pirate's eye glaring at him from behind.

That's a huge improvement. But there's no excuse for the very very poor finish on the front. Low quality art and it disappears with light.
Never had a bad steel from sony before.

And my Oppo BDP 105 multi region player squashes it for watching blu rays !!!......

That Rush steelbook is nice but quite standard. The artwork here is minimalistic but also textural (repeated pattern all over) which I quite like. No complaints from me. Maybe it's just how people really see things from a design point of view - ask a graphic designer or an architect whether they prefer the design for Captain Phillips or...what was it that guy said? The Corpse Bride? The 'finish' or lack thereof is unimportant if the design isn't decent. You can't polish a turd.

That looks great. They should have just continued the water onto the back and used something like that as the inside. A gloss finish and maybe a debossed title and it would have been nice. I did think about pre-ordering this due to the good reviews the film got (I haven't seen it), i'm very glad I didn't now.
