Looks boring as hell. And if it's matte it'll look worse! :bag:

Happy with my horizontal steel. At least that 'pops'

don't mind the Zoom release as much as some, but have to say i am a bit disappointed that - as you have helpfully reminded me (even though i own the Play release!) - that all they have done is take the back off the existing steel, slightly rotate it, and made in black and white.

i mean, if you are going to release a new steel of a film that already has one, you could at least have some original artwork!

The silver is a bit disappointing, but I do really like this release. Especially since I personally detest horizontal Steelbook releases.... and it's good to see such a truly amazing film be represented in Steelbook format. But come on....

"Does not skip outside of the UK"? Someone... Please help me...
Will anyone be hosting a Group Buy on this?

Cudzndrips is hosting a GB on the other site.

One thing I like about Zoom is they don't ship outside UK which is reminiscent of Play.com. Hoping they do some good Steels for 10.99 and bring those nice memories back.

Play.com was totally shipping outside of the UK. I remember buying "The Thing" when it was reduced to 6,99 for weeks.... THOSE were the days indeed.....

Why, exactly, is it a good memory about Play.com not shipping outside of the UK?
Weird thing to wax poetic about.
That's like me saying I miss it when U.S. Criterion couldn't be bought in the UK.

At first, please name the Steelbook retailers in the NA / Asia that ships abroad like UK retailers for cheap. Remember a vast majority of UK media retailers ships overseas at reasonable shipping costs.

To me, it is more about the feeling that something exclusive is made available to the locals at a cheaper price and importers have to queue up and pay more like we do for majority of the Steelbooks released in North America.

I don't disagree with that desire for the shipping to be cheaper - but a lot of us DID have to pay through the nose on ebay for Play.com steelbooks from the UK, and anything by Masters of Cinema or Arrow still has a nice shipping fee from Amazon.co.uk.
But, nothing would make me happier than if you guys got rid of the ridiculous VAT tax you have. I have always thought that VAT was the biggest government screw-job ever.
You guys deserve to abolish that.

Only @moon can make a crappy looking steel look good!

(Dissapointed how this turned out, such a great film deserved better)

I got this steelbook from novamedia and the spine is super faint. You can't even read it. It looks like I have a blank steelbook on the shelf.
