The Star Wars and comic book crowd do that (buy a movie ticket to see a short or a trailer).
Family audiences don't do that.

I know 8 people in my immediate friend group that went, watched the Frozen short with their kids and left. None of whom are Star Wars types. An Unlimited Cinema card which is very popular here means they didn't even have to pay "Technically"

Well. That's around 20 people, then.... (Doing math...);)

Yeah from one person. I know my local cinema staff well and they said many were doing this at every showing, not on a Star Wars trailer level but not far off it. Which unfortunately as far as the bean counters are concerned gets a tick in the box for box office for Cinderella.

Well, I think that would be the exception rather than the rule. My niece and her friends were, of course, excited to see the Frozen short- but they were there to see Cinderella (which they loved).:)

Come to think of it Disney could just re-release Frozen every year for the next 10 years and will never have to come up with an original idea again. :p
There are probably 50 straight to video spinoffs of Frozen already in production!
Something like- Olaf's adventure, Young Anna & Elsa, etc.
(Plus they will probably make that connection between the Tangled characters, too. Most people don't know the two stories are intertwined. I think Rapunzel is even in a crowd scene in Frozen if you look for it.)

You are correct, Rapunzel and Flynn where in a crowd scene in Frozen ;)

Frozen 2 is in Pre-production (of course this is not new news) ... but it is exciting even if it is couple of years away...same goes for Finding Dori (Finding Nemo 2)

That is exciting ! Love Disney !

Can't wait to hear Albert Brooks again!! (Finding Dory)...Save for 'Drive' and 'A Most Violent Year', he hasn't done much in the last 15 or so years (especially comedy). He is missed.
It's been a while- remember 'Defending Your Life'? A classic.

@C.C. 95 just watched ''Mother'' recently, he was so great, it was nice to see him in Drive...would be nice to see him more indeed !
@Actarus, MOTHER is classic too! I have been meaning to watch LOST IN AMERICA again (so amazingly funny!).
I can't believe that these movies are not on Blu!
Did you see THE MUSE! Oh, man- I remember all the cameos (Scorsese and Cameron wanting to see the muse!)
I love Albert Brooks. Oh and don't forget he was the villain in THE SIMPSONS movie, too!

I hadn't heard much about the film until this steelbook appeared, but lately I've been seeing more positive things said about it than negative... plus my sister and niece went to watch it at the weekend and both said it was brilliant, so now I'm suddenly interested in it. :)
